  1. I found all the info needed now that I googled blade instead of spoon.
  2. Ok, maybe I should have said blades instead of spoons?
  3. I am working on some custom jigs for saltwater. Mostly fluke and stripers. I have picked up a few things here about spoons but not enough. The three things I need to clear up is resistance, vibration and flash. I would like to know the difference between colorado and willowleaf spoons. I am thinking less resistance with willowleaf. I did read that willow also has less flash. Which has more vibration? What does deep cup colorado spoon add to the action? And also will there be a big difference if the spoon is on a clevis or on a swivel? If anyone knows a link to all these questions and more please point me in the direction or if you feel like typing away for a few it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Keith
  4. 2 ways I have done some are with a stencil, pita though, and using a straw. Bend the straw to close one end then pack it real good with poder and touch the straw to the hot jig. Practice a bit with both of course but the straw has nicer dots. But with the stencil you can get a bit of a fade.
  5. I drilled my spout out a bit to increase flow for large jigs up to 8 oz... Works great but doing smaller jigs can be a pain. Now need a second pot.
  6. I have been toying with the idea also for stripers in salt water. What size wire are you going with?
  7. Glad to here it worked. What size PVC are you using?
  8. The surf guys like to bounce them off the bottom when there is little to no light. the dark jig stands out against the low light sky. I will be using them from my boat with bait strips under the same conditions.
  9. That's a lot of jig to dip at once. I would do one side then the other. I have heard people talk of a long rectangular fluid bed. Maybe that would be a better choice? Either way post up your results, I was thinking of doing some butterfly type jigs myself.
  10. Some experimenting. Let me know what your opinions are please. Powder coat with glitter. I am liking the black/red. Although it looks orange in the pics.
  11. This is the first one tied. I ruined about 15 jigs before I even came close to this and this one is not near perfect. Adding dots with powder is tough. I know bass like this color combo but not sure about the fluke. I hope so. Feel free to critique!!!
  12. Jig looks real good. Going to check that putty out for sure.
