The new machine looks good Thanks for the run down on it I was wondering how it was going to work I like the vented pots and the 1 ..... 2 ..... or both color option it will make shoot in some baits easier I would like to see a video on it It looks good It should be a great machine they definatly started with a rock solid foundation ( the shooting star)

I want one ...... Maybe when I grow up With all the money I spent lately if I bought that right nowthe wife would pack my stuff for me I like the stirrers also on my shooting star even if I didn't sell baits I would still want to have it yo shoot my bsits it makes it so much easyer

the handles that are used to stir the pot wont get any hotter than the injector on a shooting star (I have the shooting star) is the heat you are exposed to acceptable I think I could tolerate turning a hot handle every few minutes vs. holding a hot injector every shot ..... im not the sharpest tool in the shed but it seems safer to me with the Jacobs machine you gain the ability to shoot two separate colors at the same time that would be great for different body and tail colors or shoot laminates im not knocking the shooting star I love my machine it is amazing I would recommend it to anyone but if I had the cash one of the Jacobs machines would be on its way to my house now

If you were going to buy a new 3" Swimbait mold what would you go fot

I need a good blue gill pattern for a swim jig can some one help a guy brought me a skirt he likes but I cant find the tabs to make it here is what's in it orange with black flake (easy to find) till green barb wire (cant find) green pumpkin with a light purple glitter scale (cant find) light watermelon with black flake (think I can find this) clear with blue flake (got discouraged and didn't look but I think I can find) can anyone help or does anyone have a great blue gill swim jig pattern

I am looking forward to the swap I have been using the solvent paint for a while its great stuff but I am tired of the smell the water based paint has little smell and that is a huge plus even with the longer dry times and it seems to coat just as good I dip most of the lures I paint but even on the ones I don't dip I think I would rather spray with clear once than work with the solvent paint the whole time I have sprayed enough of that solvent based paint to get half the country high and nothing helps much yes I have a spray booth and yes I have a good respirator I use and its still bad if I just spray the paint in the booth you can watch the vent pull it up it works good but the smell remains I cant wait to run out of the solvent paint I called and talked to the people at spike-it and they said I could layer the solvent and water based paint so I am swapping as I run out

where is the best place to get the best quality brush guard what steps do you follow when you put in your brush guard i got some brush guards that just fall apart while trying to put them in they are the right size for my jigs (1/8") but they don't seem to fit very well

its the thin line of lead that you get around the jig were the mold closes if the mold dose not close properly

WELL WE GOT IT DONE not by DO-IT but a guy who makes molds to shoot plastic baits if you are looking for a 1/24oz. jig mold check out Jacobs Baits he makes them now he just posted them yesterday I ordered 2

I have been making my own swimbait stencils for a little while now and was wondering if any of yall think it would be worth my time trying to sell a few blank stencils they fit the 4.5" bears hollow belly swimbait what do you think a set would be worth

how do you guys measure your color ? what is the best way? I use the drop method now and I don't feel like I'm getting the consistency I desire and I don't mix in large enough volume were weight will work (4 cups) any advice ?
