  1. i have burnt lots of white that turned out that color lol.
  2. The wife and I went to a rod builder gathering in Ohio last weekend, it was a great learning experience. We also left with some great door prizes including a complete rod kit from mudhole. It was really nice to see the tools in person and gave me a good idea what we needed to purchase. Can't wait for our goodies to arrive.
  3. Why not sell a few baits through someone who already has everything set up? Taxes will be paid, and you wouldn't have to deal with the paperwork, just a thought.
  4. well i believe i now have talked the wife into a tennesse handle. I believe she will be happy with it. on a side note, I think I have talked her into trying rodbuilding. So I am going to find some books to help her.
  5. i ran the tennessee grips past the wife, but she isnt thrilled about taping the reel on. so do the rings work good on a tennessee grip?
  6. My wife is 5'2 and is looking for a pop r and twitch bait spinning rod. I think we need to keep it fairly short but the main part is the length from end of handle to center of reel seat needs to be 7". That should make it easier for her to twitch the rod. She grips the rod with the reel between her ring and middle fingers. So should I try cutting a factory rod handle down to 7" or go custom?
  7. i think u would need a mold designed for that purpose. jacobs has some baits designed this way.
  8. You all are impressive, I can barely keep up with 1 microwave
  9. I found some on ebay. Thanks for the tip on presto blades.
  10. just looked up the presto blade and that appears to be it, but jannsnetcraft only has 1&2 sizes. The blade I am looking for is comparable to a #5 Indiana.
  11. I am in the process of making a jig to form these blades, easier said than done. Does anyone know how much difference there will be between brass and stainless steel? I have .015" stainless shim stock, Do you think they will function the same as a brass blade?
  12. A neighbor is wanting me to make some spinnerbaits for him. One in particular has what appears to have a #5 Indiana blade on it, however seems to be flat (no cup) until you come to the trailing edge. That edge is bent the same way a deep cup Colorado is. This is an old bait he bought from a local tackle maker 20 yrs ago. I am not sure if I can buy these or if I will have to try making them. Any help would be appreciated. I'm just trying to do him a favor not out to make money. Thanks Shane
  13. Very nice bass100, thanks for the tips.
  14. I am glad to hear it has been dealt with in a professional manner.
