  1. going to mess around making some scents. Also looking for an essential oil company. Going to start with 5 gallons nothing big.
  2. Guy thanks for the responses. One more ..... I was told DINP has a slight yellow tint from this one supplier. The sample I got from this manufacturer is crystal clear. Is this ok? Are there different kinds of DINP? Trying to make sure I am getting the right product before I buy it. Thanks
  3. Hi Jeff, thanks for your time and info! Really small here so barrels are way to much for me. I appreciate the response and actually learned some things...thanks
  4. Hey guys, is there different kinds of DINP? I did get a sample sent to us. It's clear like water....is this worm oil? Thanks!
  5. Thanks...any idea where to get DINP cheap? Too expensive from the typical suppliers, looking for a direct contact. Thanks
  6. Does anyone know what worm oil is really? Thanks
  7. Got Bears senko type molds and curious about how everyone gets them out of the molds when they are cool. Do you just pull them off the extra plastic or cut them? They don't seem to look to uniformed to me When I pull or cut them off the extra plastic. Second, got the minnow mold...shoots real nice...has a thin appenditure so it separates from the extra plastic nice and clean. No problems with this one at all. Third, got the silly willy. Same problem as the senko type, when you rip them off the head isn't uniform any more and the plastic looks funny when you cut it. Any secrets here? Thanks!
  8. That's right...three 50lb bags of general purpose sand. Going to experiment a little here to see how it works Smallmouthaholic....any advice on adding the sand? Thanks everyone

    Sand?

I have about three 50lb bags left over from a job around the house. Is it possible to add small amounts to your soft plastic for weight? I know normally it's floured salt but was wondering if it would work. Thanks
  12. I am far off from even thinking about this but have been wondering about what you need to do to name your business. Lets say I pick a name like Mystic Baits.....does it need to be trademarked? If someone has a business name already named Mystic Tackle is my name no good? Second question.....if I don't want to use the industry names for colors but want to make my own color and glitter combos can I name them anything I want.....for instance if I do black color with two different color glitters and name it "black mamba or black wasp" do I need to check to see if there is already a color named that out there? Thanks for the help!
  13. Lol I'm still waiting for my bait sample for signing up!
  14. Looking for top pour senko/stick bait aluminum mold 6.25 or up to 9.25 used. Looking for a fair deal. Thanks
  15. Thanks. Went out last night and caught a few on them. Nothing huge but still caught some. Really cool using your own bait. I may have to get medium next time cause these things are extremely soft. One fish or two fish most and the baits were ripped apart.
  16. Hi Guys, I got my first order of plastic in from Spikeit. I ordered te soft pourasol and made pop molds if senko type worms. It's my first pour ever so not sure how other plastic works. I made them this way 3/4 Cup Plastic 1/4 cup fine salt from spike it Dye,glitter These things are so soft. Fall apart faster than senkos. Here they are
  17. Thanks for the input!
  18. Hey guys, quick question has anyone ever added coffee grinds or minced garlic to the plastic and poured? I've read threads that people squirt oil(garlic or other scent) to impregnate but never saw anyone actually add like minced garlic, granulated garlic etc....
  19. Thanks for all replys! Going to read some more and figure this out..lol
  20. Going to try and ask this alittle better hopefully...I have read a ton of these posts here. I am curious about what everyone considers primer on plastic. Is that just white paint as most posts seem to say they use? If that's accurate than are the steps below correct? I know there are a lot of other options with what paint, what airbrush gun etc all I am asking is "is the paint coverage below accurate"? 1st Step Primer (white paint) 2nd Step Paint scheme 3rd and last step Epoxy Coat (D2T) Is that it or am I missing a layer? Thanks again for any help!
  21. Hi Mark thanks for the reply. I am still searching annd will keep reading this forum but i can tell you I am looking at the plastic blanks from dakotalakes if that helps. I am also looking at the createx airbrush paint.
  22. Hi Everyone, hope this post doesn't offend anyone. I have been searching these threads for awhile an sorry to say I am still confused. My bday is coming up and my family asked me for some ideas of what I would like and I want to tell them an airbrush and some supplies for painting cranks. What I am confused about are the layers on the blanks. Can everyone share what they are and use? Is this accurate? 1) Primer 2) paint 3) topcoat....(what is this a clear coat or epoxy) Is that it or am I missing a layer? Thanks for the help!
