  1. I just started playing around with building balsa cranks, normally I paint the plastic blanks you can by. I do have one question, how do be consistent with the bill location and the angle? Do you build some sort of a jig to put the bodies into?
  2. I don't think it is.....Because the bills still have tape wrapped around and some of the holograph material is on the tape also. I think the bait is painted with what ever the white is (paint or adhesive) and then the holograph is over top of the white.......
  3. I just ordered a handful of these holographic baits. I can not figure out what the holographic material is, and how it is applied to the bait......Would love to know how this is done so I can possibly apply the holographic material to other baits. I can not feel an edge where the holographic starts......
  4. Wow....thanks for all the information.....I hope to be able to make it work. I'm anxious to get started.
  5. Thanks for the info Diemai.... I think I found the discussion you are referring to. Didn't realize it was so scientific but it all makes sense. I'm going to start out with just pre manufactured bodies that I will by on line along with the bills, eye screws and so on. I am not going to try to make a neutrally buoyant bait at this point, I will be happy if I will be able to get one to run straight and true. Your method sounds easy enough, but I'm sure I will get some frustration due to the fact I'm a perfectionist.......
  6. How do you determine how much weight you put in a balsa crank bait body? Getting a few thing together to give wood bodies a try, any help would be appreciated.
