  1. Good question, thats why I just went ahead and bought one. Arrived today but I haven't had a chance to shoot any yet. Not sure how I feel about the hook slot, I'll have to do some testing.
  2. I also ordered one. Hopefully it arrives this week. I should just drive by and see since hes only a couple miles from my house
  3. I have the AI skirt mold as well. Love it. I have a few molds of there's now. 4 inch heart throb hula, skirt mold, and 4 inch minna. All high quality and shoot great.
  4. You think something like http://www.riogrande.com/Product/Glass-Bead-Blasting-Media-Extra-Fine-Grade/336193 would work? Or would that be too fine?
  5. Looks great. Is that the 660?
  6. Just about ready to pull the trigger! My buddy is addicted to swim baits, and you're right, they do throw huge here! Like gigantic trout swimbait huge! Such a foreign concept to me but it does make sense.
  7. Thanks for the info guys! I've thrown a swimbait literally one time, a keitech swing impact. Appreciate the input! Another noob question. I'll probably get the 4 cavity 660, seems like a great deal with the sale. They say get the top inject for laminates... I see no laminate plate option. What am I missing? Blending block?
  8. Looking to take advantage of the fourth of july sale. I was looking @ the BT 660 and 631. The 631 looks to be quite highly regarded here. Does anyone have experience with the 660? Any others I should be looking at? I dont really throw swimbaits much, this might help out lol.
  9. I was referring to the 3.75 and 4.2 versions, that one is pretty big for down here :-)
  10. Oh the actual design was sold? Thanks for clearing that up.
  11. basstackle doesnt have the bt bomb anymore, may have been one of bobs designs? I love the bt bomb though, wish I had a 4 cavity of the smaller one instead of the 2, hopefully we'll see it offered again.
  12. Looks like his site is getting around to being functional. No longer just a placeholder, hes got a logo and a few links up. Excited for this, healthy competition makes us all winners! And both bass tackle and bobs tackle shack are 2 miles from my house :-)
  13. Any heads up as to where the old designs will be available? Website? Bobs tackle shack reborn?
  14. Ty for confirming, cant wait to give it a shot.
  15. Monte, have you experimented any more with your formula? I remember reading that senkos are not just salt, but salt and something else. Makes me think its salt and silica powder. I was thinking maybe 1 tablespoon of each?
  16. I've had zero issues with hte basstackle colorants. The more drops the more opaque, and you can get it quite opaque without white or black imo. Bad picture but gives you an idea of the difference. First pic is 5 drops in 4 oz second is 10 I believe in 4 oz.
  17. Thanks for the info guys! Sorry again for the noob question... I guess its been covered a lot. I did search for a lot of terms before posting but apparently none were the correct ones.
  18. Yep, I've seen some people use the pulsing technique to great effect. Ive also seen the pyrex cup divided in half and hand poured. I was wondering if that blending block modification would be like halfway in between and be a bit easier :-)
  19. Sorry for the noob question but here goes. I just started pouring my own plastics and like many am hooked! I've been doing some research on swirls and it seems like its semi difficulty to achieve the look using an injector. My question is this. If you have a blending block, and remove the partition that occurs right before the colors go into the mold, would that produce a nice swirl pattern? Has anyone experimented with this? Thanks!

    BT Bomb 4.2 and 3.75

Looking for the bt bomb 4.2 and 3.75 mold. Please contact me thank you.
  21. Sorry for the dumb question, but any issues using an injector with these? It pops up as hand pour and injection.
  22. Yes and no. If you look hard enough and research the companies you could be surprised at what you find. I just ordered 100 tungsten weights. 50 worm/flipping and 50 drop shot for 81 dollars shipped to my door from a very well known company.
  23. Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice. Going to start with green pumpkin as thats the color I have most confidence in. I need to figure out how you guys make those sweet color fades. Those would lookkiller on some swimbaits.
  24. You guys are fantastic. Just stopped by goodwill the other night and picked up a bunch of stuff. Pyrex, cheap-o microwave that worked, some glass mixing rods, and a whole bunch of other misc stuff for less than 40 bucks! Apparently basstackle.com is a few miles from my house. I wonder if they would let me stop by and look at their stuff.
  25. Thanks for all the fantastic input. First few will be small just to get the hang of it. These molds are seirously amazing!
