  1. try getbitcustombaits.com great quality blanks or dingerbaits.com also great quality probably more than shelts, but have never tried them, but every blank is good from these guys
  2. is this the stencils you are talking about http://www.lurecolourstudio.com/3d-printed-stencils/ i see a lot of different ones painted with them
  3. Any of the nylon rod building size d or e will work. i just bought a 4800 yd spool off ebay,
  4. i use size D or E on all my jigs and spinnerbaits. i use clear lacquer to coat the threads when done, usually lose the bait or it gets bent too badly to run true before the thread rots off
  5. was there instructions.. i missed? i found them thank you
  6. we use size A thread, on my bass rods, i think it makes the wraps look better. i have used pro kote, and flexcote, that would be a personal preference, flexcote dried a bit quicker at the end. on the first rod i used nylon thread and when i did the epoxy. it darkened alot, burgundy is almost black now, so if you want the color to stay true, i think you should use a NCP or color fast thread. just my opinions
  7. try graniger.com or one of the racing parts websites, ie summit, pegasus or http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/nsearch.html?query=adapters&searchsubmit=Go%21&vwcatalog=yhst-80343540264639&.autodone=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chicagoairbrushsupply.com%2Faccesories.html
  8. maybe one of these would work, just scroll down http://www.barlowstackle.com/Mustad-34184-Jig-Hook-P423.aspx it looks to be a 60 degree bend so the Eagle Claw 730 would be a good choice
  9. i just started using the pro kote, i mixed exactly 3cc each stirred it for 3min, plus a little, then coated the wraps and threadwork, after 6 hrs its still tacky, how ling til it can come off the turner, and how long does it take to dry? i may need a second coat as i see i missed 2 small places. so if i mix 2cc of resin, and 3 or 4 cc of hardner will it cure fasted like the epoxy i use on cranks? i would like to get the second coat on and off the dryer by thurs so i can get rod 2 on and done by the weekend Any help would be great thank you T

  13. The weed guards that have both ends fused were just fine, the new ones i got that are not fused on both ends flaired out when they were baked so i had to stop and wrap tape around them to stop them from flairing out, but that worked fine and they came out just great. Now i know to tape them as i hang them in the oven or get fuse the ends of the weed guards before i bake them.

  16. there is a small metal pan or tray on the bottom that covers the elements, maybe i will lay some foil on the top so the heat isnt so direct from the top, there is no deflector up there.
