  1. What's the pros and cons using non-phtalate plastisol versus phtalate in plastisol and can the two plastisols be mixed together? I have been using Janns Netcraft plastisol for years. I am not sure who makes their plastisol and I decided to switch over to Dead On Plastix because it is cheaper and the website advertises the white colored plastics will not yellow on remelts. Granted I could add plastic stabilizer to the Janns Netcraft plastisol to keep my white plastics from yellowing, but it seems to be a nice perk if you don't have to add the stabilizer to the Dead On Plastix.
  2. I have done my research over the past few days and I think I am going to stick with my do-it tube molds. I thought it would be cool to get into some tube dipping and dip two different colors. You could dip florescence orange and then dip a brown pumpkin seed color. That would give the tube a cool effect with a laminate tail like River Rock Baits which is what I was trying to do. Here is link to their baits. http://river-rock-custom-baits.myshopify.com/products/laminate-tubes I saw cool YouTube video where a guy made an aluminum mold with rods in it to make laminate tubes. You simply dip the tubes in some plastic then place the tubes in the mold to inject the second coat of plastic. As far as I know, no one sells mold like that. Here is the YouTube video if anyone is interested.
  3. Thanks for the information.
  4. Wow, that is great idea. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Can you replace the blades? I looked on Lure Craft's website and it states the blades can be replaced but I did see anywhere on their site where you could buy replacement blades.
  7. Thanks for the ideas. I like the suggestion of easing up on the pressure with knobs that hold the molds together. I am going to give that a shot. If that doesn't work, I am hoping the Bear Bait Injector will resolve the issue.
  8. Yes. Pressure was holding and I topped off. I consistently get a grub that has full body and a partial tail. The only difference I noticed is the Do-it injector doesn't fit as well as it does in my other molds. So I bought the injector which Bear Baits sell to see if that will make any difference. If it doesn't, then I know it is probably a issue with the mold or possibly my technique with this particle mold. I have never experienced issues with my other molds. So I was curious if anyone had any problems with the Bear Bait molds. Anyway, thanks for the feedback everyone.
  9. I have been using Do-it injector for Do-it molds. I have also used the injector with some enforcer molds I have gotten through Ebay. I recently bought Bear Bait 4 inch K-grub and a 3 inch skirt mold cavity. I was getting undesirable results with the molds using a Do-it injector and I was wondering what other people are using for an injector with their molds and is there a rule of thumb where you should be using the same injector made by the same mold manufacturer. I went ahead and bought a Bear Bait medium injector and a bear bait small nozzle since the 3 inch skirt mold looks like it needs a smaller nozzle.
