  1. Today was the first time making my own soft plastic baits, I did some injection and hand pour. For my first go I just went random on color and glitters, my second go I attempted an actual recipe for watermelon red. So 2 things... 1: how do they look and 2: one the stick baits one had an indent (you can see it in pic) what causes that?? Does anybody else have their rookie play to share?
  2. I personally always use a trailer. I have yet to catch a fish without one BUT I use smaller chunkier trailers like 1/2 craws and beaver tails that I cut down. In my experience that gives them a "body target" to aim for, I do this for bass and northerns.
  3. Thoughts on preheating molds? Other than dead summer it can be pretty cold here I was thinking of using a toaster oven next to my microwave to help keep the molds around 100 degrees or so pre-pour. My garage is somewhat heated but with the door open and fans going it will have a hard time getting to 60 out there.
  4. Skidder419 and I am a bait addict.... Based in SE South Dakota 1 of the 4 or 5 large mouth fishermen in the state Because of some guy on Youtube my wife hates me because the house is now full of plastics, colors, glitters, and molds And I have yet to make a single bait as I need to absorb all the knowledge I can first LMAO!
