Rattle can finish (I went on a pink kick). I've still got to assemble the joint on this one. It sinks slow and level, but I have yet to put it in the water.

That looks really nice. Did you mold the tail?

Woah, these are ridiculously cool! I just looked at some of your other paint work as well, and it's on a totally different level! Great work!

Nice work! These look great!

I love the natural wood look. The wood grain can be so beautiful with cedar!
-
Nice, very smooth contours. Did you turn this on a lathe?

Nice!

Versatile looking paint scheme! Seems like it resembles a good variety of forage species.

Musta been at least 50 inches... Probably weighed 40 pounds... Great re-build work though, the finished lure looks brand new!
What's your personal best muskie?

Those look great! Good luck at the show as well! What do you typically sell those for (if you don't mind me asking)?

Nice detail! I'm working on some 8" bass-shaped swim-baits too. Have you done one like this before?

Great looking buck-tails! What size wire do you use? I'd love to burn one of these up north for pike or muskie!

Looks great; really nice paint job! What size wire do you use?

Dude, I just started on some 8" bass shaped baits, and these are incredible! I'm going to try 3 to compare the action, 1 solid body glide bait, 1 with 1 joint like these, and 1 with 3 joints. It's already been said, but this is an incredible imitation of a small-mouth! Well done!

Basically swore off lure making during a vacation over Christmas, but when my nephews heard I made lures, they convinced me to make one. The only tool/materials I had with me was my knife, so I made this with a piece of oak firewood, a paperclip, Crayola markers. I used baking soda and CA glue to seal in the paperclip, and told me cousin to coat the rest of the bait in a could weeks after everything dried. I have no idea how it swims, but it was fun!

Pine Popper, rattle can spray, oil modified urethane finish (note the streaking of the red paint). I think it looks nice, though I haven't tub tested it yet.

Rattle can finish (I went on a pink kick). Mini-jerk bait, right about 2 3/4 inches.
