  1. What's shaking Flashy? Seems that either you have a bad/expired batch of uv resin, or your light source is not generating a sufficient amount of the wave length needed to cure the resin you are using. Take some of your tacky baits and hang them outside in the sun for a while and give them a turn at some point. If after an hour or 2, or so, they are cured and no longer tacky then the problem is likely the light source. If after the sun exposure they are still tacky it's likely the resin itself is no bueno. Let us know what happens. Good luck.
  2. Whats shakin Voodoo? I have found that using a pair of these, as close to both sides of the lure as you can get, as in a few inches on each side usually means 5min is enough, though you could go 10 if you want. I use the 2 foot version, but there is also the 4 footer.
  3. Here's one that is close. Search swim worm and swimming worm and you'll find others that are out there. Seems like a nice combo.
  4. Hi Smalljaw I'm thinking making and attaching a stencil could work well for the dots. Messing around with a problem is at least half the fun. Good luck.
  5. "Moo Gloo", it's on amazon.
  6. Yup way softer. It is more of an issue in thinner baits, which become quite droopy, like trick worms. I have no problems with fatter kietech style baits like do-it rippers or senkos though. So yes, as Johnny Carson's side kick used to say, "You are correct sir!".
  7. Check this out, it's a really cool look.
  8. I like white and silver glitter, with the rest of the bait clear, or with a white top. Something along these lines.
  9. Here you go River. This guy is an engineer type and really puts together some solid testing of lots of tools. You can get good info and kind of lose yourself in all his testing vids.
  10. Are you thinking about this sort of bait? Just one hook out of the top, as in a jig head or a weedless worm hook would be fine.
  11. I think they get pretty backed up now with all the do it yourselfers that our current time in history has spawned. I think it took about a week and a half for my injector to ship and they would not reply to phone or email messages until the product had actually shipped. At that point I got an email that it had shipped. So just be a bit patient and you'll probably get your order, it will just take a bit more time.

    Glitter

Hey Rayen, are you wanting to coat a whole lure or most of it in glitter?
  13. You can fill it and wait a couple of seconds and shoot it all back into the cup and then fill it again. This will heat up the injector a bit so you can get an extra mold or 2 if you move quickly. When using manual injectors it's really more towards the hobby side, though some use it who sell. The automated side of soft plastics is the more heavy duty mass production end of things. I'm just d......ing around for fun myself. Enjoy!
  14. Just by looking at it, it looks like you should mix the underlying color in well, then add a bit of the lighter color and start very gently and slowly swirling it in . Then stop as soon as you see something you like stop and try pouring your creation.
  15. I cover with super glue, pour a bunch of glitter over it, give it a shake, do the other side, let it dry, and coat with 2 coats of uv epoxy.
  16. Take a look at kalin's 6 , 8 and 10 inch grubs. Big grubs with a wide tail for big fish.
  17. Look at blick, it's an art supply chain. I got mine from there, good prices and selection for most people.
  18. Nice, I'll give it a try. Thanks Cami.
  19. Hi Cami, Can you please elborate on what you would use for a "cold coat" to cover the bait after applying the powder? Thanks

    Newbie

This is good advise. Go there and find a similar blank and in the description you will find the sizes for hooks, eyes ect.
  21. You could also drop down to a finer sand paper, like say 220 grit.
  22. Yea, I had the same idea a few years back and looked it up, it had been patented many years ago. We all think about these little lures and often come up with similar solutions. Imagine that. I laughed when I read the part about the bail breaking the line, that has happen to me so many times, it's ridiculous.
  23. This is quite close and is one of my favorite lures.
