  1. No. I use rod cut to the same length as the mold cavity. Yes centering is not the best. I forgot to mention that you can do the same with their Ripper swim bait molds.
  2. I just use the Do-it Senko molds for core shots. They aren't perfect, like a good CNC aluminum mold, but they work well. Just cut up some 1/8 rod to fit the cavities and keep the mold warm between the first and second injections. Their ned mold also works well for core shots.
  3. Thanks Toad. Tour advice worked to perfection. I got some good casts this weekend after doing what you recommended. Also, I was totally wrong about what this mold is used for. These are some big "no snag sinkers."
  4. Here are a couple pictures.
  5. I recently picked up a number of older molds. One is a palmer no 203 which is a larger spoon mold, 3 1/2, 5 and 7 ounce sizes. I have not tried it yet due to a couple concerns. There is a sizable gap between the mold halves, nearly an 1/8 inch. Theres no way it will pour without major lead leakage. The mold appears to have been used with red clay. I cleaned a lot from the inside and outside. Is this mold designed for making "dirt" weights? Any help would be appreciated.
