  1. So to start of I have quite a few tools a table saw, miter saw, belt and disc sander as well as a lot of hand tools. I have access to basswood the easiest but am going to order some balsa soon and have access to a lot of others.pretty I have made crankbaits before but really struggle with making a consistent step by step process and mess some baits up.I was mainly looking to see other peoples processes to help me make my own.
  2. I would like to see everyone’s process for building crankbaits. I am working on starting my process and would love to others steps through build their cranks.
  3. I live in Texas and am looking for a non extremely overpriced piece of 1/2 in balsa. Every where I look online the shipping is 15 or more dollars for getting one sheet. Anyone know where to get some with reasonable shipping?
  4. You may look at a copy carver they are typically used for guitars but I think would work for that purpose
  5. I would also recommend for the first few months you start painting to use a master airbrush then go to the iwata neo. This is what I did and after a few months once I had made all of my mistakes with the master airbrush and trashed it i could just throw it away because it was cheap and I just switched to the neo and have been using it since. The neo is considerably nicer but am glad I didn't have to buy 2 of them and made mistakes with the cheap one.Hope this helps!
  6. Thanks guys I found a paper cutter for free and was able to use it to do this!
  7. I have thought of this but I don’t have a table saw or anything of the like so I am unable to do that.
  8. Any of the stores near me don’t have the correct size of pvc. I have tried googling where to find it but can’t find it any where. I am looking for 1/2 in. Plz help
  9. So I have started getting to the point on a lure where I want to make them very easy and repeatable. One problem I am having is getting the lips the same every time. I have tried snips, scroll saw, sanding. But can’t get repeatable results. Can’t spend much money as I am on a tight budget. I realize this may be unreasonable but I am a perfectionist.
  10. I just recently got a scroll saw and discovered a problem.I could not find a blade thick enough to cut my lip slot for my circuit board.Making 2 cuts for the lip is too wide.I have been using a jig saw in the past with a 1mm or slightly under 1/16in which fit the lip perfect.Any help with how to get the lip to fit is welcome:)
