  1. Thanks man, this is what I was thinking. The weather is starting to break here so I think I’m gonna try it
  2. What do you mean by put 2 anchor points on each joint?
  3. This is something I’ve been working on for quite some time now. It’s gonna be a 6 piece wake. I’m gonna try to put a small rattle in the tail. I’m not sure if I’ll have enough room yet. I still have tons of sanding and carving left but I’m starting to get antsy and wonder about lead placement. I’ve never built a wake bait with this many segments, any suggestions on lead placement to get optimal action?
  4. Yeah, I’m using true coat in my shop. But I don’t have ventilation in there to use a spray on auto clear.
  5. I’m new to the whole resin world, I’ve been making wooden lures for awhile but I’m ready to start using a master to duplicate my work. I’ve been using true coat for my wooden lures but am wondering if that will work on a painted resin bait? My shop is in my basement under my front porch, I have a concrete sealing and 4 block walls. I am unable to ventilate my shop and I know that automotive clear is pretty nasty stuff. I was thinking I could buy some aerosol stuff and spray it outside but it’s currently about 15 degrees in western Pennsylvania. Anyone have experience using 2 part epoxy clear on a resin bait?
  6. I’ve been making wooden swimbaits and glide sits for a little while now. Recently I carved out a really nice 2 piece glide that I decided I wants to mold. I’ve never made a mold before so I went out and bought everything I needed (silicone, molding clay, casting resin, micro balloons etc.) anyway, I decided that I wanted to make a tail fin instead of using a brush tail so I carved the tail fin out of balsa and am going to mold that. my question is, should I buy a saltwater blend of plastisol or use alumalite flex for the tail fin? I have 0 experience with either product.
