  1. Looks like if you extend the loop out the right side insead of the left and y ou should be golden. Arne.
  2. Thanks for your service. Hope you are on the way to finding the colors you want. I can't be of much help as only lures I have poured were probably 40 yrs ago and don't even know what I did to pour them. saw the mold a while back tho. Arne.

    Horse head jigs

Yep, came from a hobby store. Got a catalog from LPO today. They have them listed there and bet they are a lot heavier. Will get the ones I have used up then order some of the heavier ones. Arne.
  4. Head hntr is this the same fellow that was on Stickbow many many moons ago? If so, Howdy. Arne.

Using the jump rings to make life easier. The ones I bought were pretty weak. Now using them, really easy to put on. But to make the job last longer, add a drop of solder on the split. Takes a little longer, but not as frustrating as split rings. Arne.

@cadman Where did you find the stiffer jump rings. Bought some, but they are pretty weak. Will have to wait til it gets warmer to try them out, but am afraid they will open up too easy. Arne.
  8. Cad. Don't know, but if you use spray foam you can put the sprayer and the nozzle tube in some acetone and it will clean it out and you will be ready to reuse the can. I have reused the cans after a month or two. so thnk the clog comes in the nozzle not the can. Course you are talking different materials but if I was to try a can would spray some of the KBS and add some acetone to it to see how it reacts. Spray it on something besides your finished lures to try it. Arne.
  9. Dont wind up with any moisture on or in it when you go to pour.. The stuff will come out a lot faster than it pours in. Be safe. Arne.

Ogajiga I looked them up and think I can just buy them cheaper than you can mail them. Thank you for the offer. Will have to get together again soon. Arne.

Had to look up jump rings to see what you were talking about. Guess I'll be trying them. Look easy and fast. Thanks, Arne.
  12. There is an electricians tool that looks like that. Don't know for sure what they call it, but has a cutter in front of the crimpers. Mite be easier to source locally. Maybe Harbor Freight, Ace Hardware or one of the box stores. Arne.
  13. Late to the party today. LOL. Arne.
  14. I would like to help you out, but I don't have a clue. Arne.
  15. Don't have any idea, but if you look at the post just above this one you should be able to find somebody that does. Lots of mold makers there. Arne.
  16. Go to the gallery. click on the button at the top of the page. Lots of different pics there of lures people have made or painted. Probably more ideas there than you or I have time to copy. Personally paint most of the lures so they look natural. At least try to make them that way sometimes doesn't work so good. Good luck with yours, Arne.
  17. I would do the quick wash, let them dry, stick them in a baggie and use them whenever. When you get them out to use, gets them out of the freezer, tie what you want and pop them back in the freezer. If you decide to debone them, take out the tail bone, scape the fat off and cover the remaining skin with borax or salt. When you get them out to use, the borax stays on a bit better and doesn't make quite the mess. You can just stick them back in the freezer and get them out long enough to use and pop them back in. Don't have to let them thaw when you use them, just take them out while you are tying, use what you need and back to the freezer. Don't want them to start stinking. ARne.
  18. Was helping with some siding over the weekend. Picked up a few scraps, will give them a try over the winter. Thanks for the replies. Arne.
  19. Has anybody tried this stuff. THought I would ask before I tried it. Have used different materials and most of them work, but need different ones for different colors, maybe even just different brands. I know it is made to stop air flow but with pressure thought it might let enough air thru. It will also allow moisture to go thru it so guess will find out about the air also. Thanks in advance, Arne.
  20. I chatted with him early summer or late spring. Think he was fine then. Said he hadn't been out in the shop working much. Arne.
  21. Not exactly sure what you are doing, but if you have some old lead core line you can strip the lead out of it. It will wrapeasily around a hook. Little super glue with it and should be set. Arne.

    Flutter Jig Mold with Parts

Do you still have this mold? If so I am interested. Thanks, Arne.
  23. I have never made one, but if you scroll down to member tutorials then to soft plastics they have quite a few ideas for making the molds. Arne.
