Stn Stl. Hitch Hikers

Recommended Posts

I actually like the hard copper wire hitchhiker that TTI uses on the Copperheads. The fact that it stretches slightly is a benefit to the life of a bait rigged on it.

Hey Bob,

I have the copper hitch hikers. There is only one problem with these that I noticed, and that is if you bake your jigs with the copper hitch hiker in the jig, it hardens the copper somewhat, and then they seem brittle to me. Have you had that experience as well?

Ted,

Not sure of the dia. you want, but pretty sure Shorty's carries them, and you can buy in quantities of a thousand.

George,

The outside diameter can not be more than .125-.130. Unless I missed it, the smallest Shorty'e has  is .156 diameter. That will not work in a 1/8" diameter weedguard hole. If someone else knows something I don't about Shorty's clips let me know some stock part numbers. Thanks in advance.
