Acetone Dipping Lures Help

Hey everyone I have only started prepping my lures for painting and wanted to paint some transparent ones so I dipped them in acetone and say them to dry only thing is a few hrs later the lure started to get cloudy anyone able to help me with this process to prevent this from happening?

/profile/47540-j-g-jigs/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="47540" rel="">@J & G Jigs I use, seal coat or exterior polyurethanes, both are water based and dry quickly. They make a nice clear gloss finish. The seal coat is soft enough that it doesn't chip on rocks etc. I tried a powder topcoat and it turned into a milky looking coating. I am using this over powder paint. Good luck on the water
