squigster
Anyone have either of the Basstackle 631 or 639 rind swimbait molds? I would like some feedback before pulling the trigger for the price theyre asking. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also are they close to KT's performance wise? Thank You! Apdriver
I have both of them and like them. Tail action is good. They shoot good. The 3.5 works good on the A rig with the 5.0 as the large kicker. Very little not to like, really........except the price:-)
squigster
Thanks! Just a bit of a chunk of change to get both. Also, worried about how to package them as I think the tails can easily become distorted as I guess that's why they pack them in molded plastic to try and prevent that. Apdriver
I plan on shooting some today. If you want to try a few, I'll send a few of each to you before you pop on the molds, if you want. Just PM me your address.

Funny you would think just that about tails like that but they are easier to package. Fold the tails flat and they will be fine. Unlike a boot tail they will work just the same when folded like that. I have more than 100 cavitys of that style and would not even think twice about getting more. The higher price come from the tail, small cutter take much more time to get that deep. squigster
Thanks Frank, I just see all the Keitechs and Strike Kings are packaged in plastic forms and was worried that they would get deformed in normal packaging. How do they fish? I assume good if you have a hundred. Let me know your thoughts. Also, do you think its worth getting both molds or does one size do better than the other? Thank You! Frank
I was just pointing out that the tail is not critical to keep at 90deg. When they are in the water they work just fine. 3.5 is my best seller and has been for 3 years. Second place is the 5"
