Dipping Clear Question

Recommended Posts

I have one with glitter but the problem that I ran into over and over is glitter will sink, so you have to stir to get it to suspend which adds fine bubbles to your finish which in turn you have to dip 2 more times to get a good smooth finish. Not to mention sanding between glitter coat and finish coat.

I like that idea. Thanks Mark. Just got some of the AC1315 and really like it for dipping. Been using Dick Nite's for years and the new clear brings new things to learn.

Just remember that the AC1315 will melt if left in contact with a soft plastic lure for more than 30 minutes.  I think the softener in the plastic is also a solvent for the AC1315.  I keep them separate on my boat's deck.  If I want to use a soft plastic worm as a tail on a rat bait I've made and coated with AC1315, I put a layer of clear nail polish around the point of attachment, and it prevents any problems.
