Boggs Tackle Maker inline spinner bait length and usage

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a Boggs Tackle Maker. My intentions were to use it to build small inline spinner baits such as rooster tails in the 1/8 - 1/4oz sizes.

I attempted to use it and have found that it seems the rod (to make the closed loops), is not set up to make the loops in a bait in the 2" - 3 1/2" size range. Am I missing something or is it correct that the tacklemaker is only good for forming inline spinner baits from 5" in length and longer?  Thanks for any help!
