Pin-Min

Recommended Posts

I have a few Pin-mins tucked away in some tacklebox, someplace. There were a few local baitshops that carried them. There was a zillion colors and patterns like a stripe and a dot, two stripes no dot, bunch of dots, solid with one dot. Anyway, they were only available in the late fall, before ice fishing started.

I'll see if I can spot any next time I got to a baitshop.

Jann's has all of the parts to make them yourself. In general, you get little spoon-shaped bodies, lay a hook in it and fill the cupped side with solder. Paint 'em up and go ice fishing.

They do work well.

I am planning on stopping at the Mogadore Bait and Tackle store on the way home from work today to pick up 4 each # 8 pin min's ,orange, green chartreuse and white. I have at trip scheduled in Wisconsin for the end of May, 2022 that I am looking forward to. Going to bring these new pin min's with me.
