  1. here is a dipping iron that i made. it was very easy. i used a regular old kitchen knife and the blade off of a spinner bait. i used my dremmel to shape the kinfe the way i wanted it, then cut a slot in the spinner bait blade and a little jb weld to attach it to the knife. total time was about 30 minutes..... now, when dipping it, i realized that the belly was a little to fat to pull the blade out without splitting the tail. i then went back and with my dremmel, ground down the belly area of the blade.
  2. Hey how much would you want for the small beaver mold if it is still available?

    Thanks,

    Vince

  3. i have a small beaver mold i'll sell or trade if your interested ? its an rtv mold, it pours beautifully. baits looks exactly like the link posted in the first post.
  4. id like to see real statistics on that ratio. i find it hard to beleive that 2% would pay more taxes than 98%. i think that is retoric being put out there by those that have to pay more. we all know that everything posted on the internet is true.....lol
  5. im telling you guys, i agree with dell. im totally against these american companies taking our good american jobs to other countries. i really beleive this is one of the major reasons for this economic down turn we are in. the united states has become a "service industry" country. we simply dont make anything anymore. that takes away our backbone as a country and makes us rely on other countries for our goods. im a purchasing agent for a living for the USA's 2nd largest labor union. i work out of their national headquarters. one of my responsibilities is to purchase goods made in the usa and union made. its the hardest part of my job. try finding paperclips made in this country. i can get t-shirts made in mexico or china for 2.00 each. the same t-shirt made in the USA is 6.00 each. how is that a level playing field for a US manufacturer ? but there are folks out there that truly try and buy american made products, because we realize the downturn if we dont. listen, im hispanic.....so i know the culture. but the good ole USA is hurting for good jobs right now. to bring the jobs back, we need to make our own goods. period ! i got so mad on a flight to detroit a few weeks ago when i opened up an inflight magazine and there was an ad for a company that will help american companies get their products manufactured in china or mexico. these companies should be shut down. the american public is fed up with this buracratic nonsense that our government has let happen by agreeing to NAFTA.
  6. i couldnt agree more del....
  7. there was a thread on here about it a while back. i tried to find it, but wasnt able to retreive it in any searches i did. i had a problem before and i called kim at lure craft. she said they were aware of an issue, and suggested i use the power instead of the liquid while they worked on a fix. well, yesterday i was pouring and needed some white. this is why i thought of this again....
  8. im about to order some more plastic and i was wondering if lure craft has changed thier white colorant yet ? i know we have talked about this before, their white has ruined a good amount of my plastic. its turns the plastisol to mush. i need some white, but dont know what to buy if they havnt changed it.
  9. never thought about it. can you guys post pics ?
  10. would a peice of sheetmetal work ?
  11. longhorn, do you have an email address i could contact you at since i cant use the pm system here ??
  12. jim, its the same guy ! i wanted that mold that you have, but he was selling a bunch of them on ebay. i wanted one that was unique, yet similiar in style to the one he was producing and selling. once we came up with my design, i begged him not to sell it to anyone else, and as far as i know he didnt. then.....like you guys are saying.....he disappeared. one day he finally got back to me and said he wasnt doing it anymore because he wants to machine engines instead.... ive been very happy with this worm. like i said earlier, its been one of my top producers.
  13. hey thanks JSC. your right, it is a very similiar design. i notice the difference between an injection mold and a pour.
  14. no, he is not in business anymore. i sure wish he was though. he is doing engine machining and doesnt want to take the time to do molds anymore. heck of a loss, he was a great mold maker.
  15. its a single sided aluminum mold. it produces a really nice worm. im not familiar with a gator tail, but i can tell you that this worm has alot of tail action.
