  1. Hello, I poured for a while a few years back...I was using Calhoun plastic if I recall. It stunk up the garage pretty good (as I am sure you all know). I am wanting to be as considerate of the neighbors and my health as possible so I was thinking of buying some of Lurecrafts Green plastic this time around. My question's are...is there a significant reduction in the odor when heating? And; I will be pouring primarily dropshot baits...should I go with the #556?..will I need to add softener to that. Thoughts are appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, I wondered about the situation of creating such an airflow that it would cause cooling issues with the plastic. And by 'smoke out' I meant the smell, not actual smoke:eek:. I don't imagine the neighbors in my new neighborhood would appreciate the smell of molten plastisol as they try to enjoy dinner on their patio. It is funny though, my wife says I smell like the dolly she had as a little girl when I am done pouring . B

A couple questions that I couldn't find an answer to on a search: 1) can you make a hoodfan set up effective enough so you don't need to wear a resporator mask while pouring? and; 2) can the hood fan exhaust be filtered in someway so that I don't totally smoke out my neighbors? Thoughts and expeiences would be appreciated, thanks. B
