I haven't made any for jigs yet but I will in the future. I'm putting them on some rapala knock offs so I guess they're dressed treble hooks?

I just started tying my own buck tails and was wondering if there was a guide for how long they should be or is it whatever looks good. Mine seem kinda long but I didn't know if longer was better or keep them short. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi my name is Shawn I'm 32 from ellwood city pa which is about an hour north of Pittsburgh. I started messing around with lure making this year as away to keep busy in the winter. So far I'm hooked (no pun intended) and the more I read the more things I want to try as long as my pocket book holds out!
