Just wondering if anyone has made a jointed hard bodied swimbait with horizontal hinges that swims in a vertical undulating motion rather than the traditional side to side S action of typical swimbaits? I am thinking of building such a lure with 3 or more segments that will mimic the underwater motion of a rodent. So far I would assume that it will need to be a sinking bait, with the head section weighted more than subsequent sections. I’ve seen many flies and soft baits with this sort of undulating action but am not sure if will work on a hard bait? Any design tips or experience welcome.

Thanks. Found one here under “saltwater flounder.” By Jrhopkins. I’ll try something similar and see if I can get it to swim.
