On a recent Brazil trip my buddy would every so often wing one into the trees and the guide would make monkey noises. The next month we were going to Colombia so I made him a 6" wood banana lure complete with Chiquita sticker, sparkle dust and three coats of epoxy. He loves it.

Fantastic work Chuck! Perfect finish, fins and tail, love it.
-
Beautiful job all the way around! That eye is an awesome touch.
-
Thank you Peter, will do.
-
Beautiful!! I've been looking for something like that, actually THAT, do you have any available?
-
Absolutely perfect, love the attention to detail like around the hook hangers and bill.

Yep, they're psycho from the git go. This one would have been in the sticks with a lighter outfit. Later, two casts in the tongue of a sandbar got a 15 then a 16, they made some nice runs on a medium spinner.

Thanx Chuck.

Unreal! I just stumbled upon this pic and whoa, wish I had more thumbs to point up. Gotta love the wing choice, everything is spot on.

Classy! Can't go wrong with wood.

What bass can pass up dinner and dessert at the same time? Killer job.
-
Love this one, almost too purdy to fish.
-
Beautiful work, suitable for framing.

Thanx NM, hope you get to hit it soon, did Brazil in December and going to Colombia next month. We have plenty of peacocks in South Florida but the biggest are 8-9 pounds.
-
It's not a Megabass finish but will probably catch fish just fine. Looks like you had fun doing it.
-
This looks like a great addition to the peacock bass arsenal.

As a huge fan of both the old and newer versions of The Fly movies, love this lure. Beautifully done!

,,, and I use a Trevala S jigging rod with a shortened butt for peacock bass in Brazil and Colombia. A few months ago got a two pound largemouth on a bright orange eight inch woodchopper I was tuning the prop on in my back yard lake when they hadn't been hitting anything.

Beautiful. If the fish like any one of those colors they'll hit it.
-
Thank You Will. It's amazing how much time you can spend on one jig when simple works just fine, something to do between trips.

Thanks Braided. I'm in Palm Beach County, have had good results here and in Brazil with these in various colors. On Canada trip a year ago the pike loved one in a pike pattern, did that one with a white base coat, then dabbed with an Elmers washable glue stick, sprayed green paint and washed lure when it dried.

Excellent!
