Just curious, in your opinion, since you have covered most of the foil with paint is the foil really needed for effect? I like your baits......

Hey Rod, I know what you are saying about covering most of the foil. I have battled with that. Even the suttle effect of the little that is shown gives it a real scale effect. It is hard to take a picture of the baits with the metalic flake paint that I use. The flash bounces off of it in the pictures. Now in the sunlight it is a different story. You can see alot of the foil below. I have a real tough time getting them ready for the paint. Alot of work. But when they are ready to paint I get excited and it seems all worth it.

I wasn't criticizing your baits, I think you do great work. I was just curious. I do alot of foil myself and am always looking for new things.

Absolutely perfect. That's what mine was supposed to look like. I think I will blow that up to an 8 x 10 and hang it above my desk at work to remind myself that it is possible, maybe not by me, but it is possible. If I could do that, my wife would be the one working outside of the home and I would be the Mr. Mom staying home with the kids and making masterpieces.
