KC Nathan, are you kidding me You and Tally need to jump ship on those Missouri teams I know Tally, how did you get brought up into this, its called guilt by state association. Do I hear some $$$$$ comming my way in a few weeks, care to wager? I would hate to see a Nathan update As for taking pictures atat the footbal games (back to the subject) how about some high kick shots of the cheerleaders
-
To bad those are the teams your camera had to take a picture of Just kidding, Broncos over Cowboys on turkey day :-D

Being out west, I get the western boards information on what is going on with the Federation. Can anyone tell me if there is just as much concern in the South, East and Central areas and are there any boards with discussions? Thanks,
-
here is a picture of the grub I mentioned, the jig head on this one is a fatratz, the guy who gave this to me would not give me the jighead that went with it. on a fast retrive this thing flaps the surface similar to a buzzbait. I sent Jerry all the info on the company that makes this.

Nathan, as Tally graciuosly put it, I found an acorn As for the baits, You know they wont be on display in some case, they will be on display in the lake Great baits keep up the good work.
-
oh yeah these came with it. The will look real good in my new display case I am going to win in the football pool. Get over to Nathans site and get in on the action. The shad not only attracts the fish but they fight for it!!!!!!!
-
I had to show it off, I asked Nathan to make me a custom Rat and he did wonderful work. I hqvent had the chance to throw it yet as my got to spot for this was out of water, soon real soon.
-
guy at ICAST had a large "grub". When used with a special jig head it would flip flop on top of the water. Doesnt work without the jig heat ie. the weight to cast. 2 noticables were the tail on the grub was 6 to 8 inches long and the jig head sort of had wings.

Over the last three weeks I have had three packages come to my door. These packages are baits made by members of this site. Nathan just sent me some lures and in there was one of his rats. Randy at Fatratzlures sent me some new jigs which have already produced as well as spinnerbaits that are as good if not better than any store bought spinnerbait with greater detail (just order the trout or the bass, you will see). Than there is Chris over at Alsworms.com. Many of you have gotten information from him off this site but the pictures he post are just that, pictures, put one on your hook and watch out(especially the pearl belly worms). If at all possible and if you are seriouse about your fishing weather it be fun or tournament, next time you need to place an order, I am asking that you consider them if they produce the product you are looking for. Thanks for reading,

WOW, thanks for sharing.

Can we move this to the DOCKS? maybe more can read and reply. Perhaps leave it voluntary in the beginning and let those see how the "panel" will handle those who volunteer everyone. I would not take offense to anyone ever judging me ( I usually deserve what I get) but like posting on the web, there is no "emotion" when one types and there will be none when one is giving a rating and things can easily be taken out of context. So by joining TU would you be given a beginner status? Above Cranker wrote : [i think that putting people in skill classifications does nothing but alienate the people like myself who have just started in this wonderful hobby and need plenty of advice from the veterans] The rating system would ensure you that you were getting advice from someone who has been approved as an expert by this site. This site has always been a free for all when it comes to information. I would hate to see anything take that away. However, If you do make it an association, wouldnt you have to start charging dues? Last, I nominate Woodsac to the Association Board.

There are a few guides you can hire around town most hang out around Laker Plaza #702-564-3058. (I have seen assasins for sale there) Wonbass US Open happens to be the same week so some of them may be busy. Stripers from shore using anchovies or a spook/gunfish. DFG plants trout on firdays at Mead not sure if they are during the summer. Seen 15lb+ caught from shore throwing imitation trout baits during plants. Willow Beach on Mohave also has trout plants on Friday and that is where the big daddy stripers lurk. Bass are hit and miss from shore access areas. Good luck

One is, I happen to be walking down a street in a little town in New York and saw these in the window. I visited a few tackle stores in New York and you should be in them with your Assasins but they seem to small lol, seem muskie and pike like giant lures. Here is a pic, let me know if you know anything. I see one on ebay for sale.

Skeeter, A few things I did not mention and probably should is when talking to Rogue, they were testing both salt and freshwater rods and even though I mostly liked the durablity they to price themselves out of range like most of the competition. Also, I did have a great talk with Trey at Kistler. If I had the budget, I would probably fish with them just for the customer service. He has an extremely nice and informative staff. Last, and maybe you or anyone for that matter can answer this as no one was willing to, are all blanks made overseas and how much do they get them for?
-
Sorry for the delay was playing in New York. Skeeter, The fusion rod was different as you can swap out the actual rod from the handle like the barrel of a shot gun. Jerry has the brochure on these and I think it broke down what they were made of. As for Rogue I was most impressed with the way they were built. I would recomend there blanks to try. I have used there Velvick swimbait rods in the past but they now have a larger freshwater selection. They were doing some brutal tests to them and they stood up excellent. As for the diawa rod you mention if it is the Folkestad IM6 drop shot rod, than yes the fusion was lighter but I doubt anything will take away the feel you get from that particular Diawa rod.

OK, we have a house near the "The Great Sacandaga" (spelling). Be there for a week and read about its smallmouth, anyone have any info?

When are you comming and what is it you are looking to catch bass, Stripers etc...

ICAST 2006 By Tim Myers If you ask me I don?t believe there were any winners or losers at ICAST. What I did notice was that if you had some recent publicity or a big name fisherman promoting your booth or your product you were voted as a winner. I don?t think Spro?s Dean Rojas Frog is any different than the others but I did get four samples from four different companies and plan on letting them do there own little test when I get to some frog water. The Stren line was voted best new line, but was it because they had a fishing celebrity in their booth? Another line company was doing side-by-side comparisons and the Stren line lost. I think we all have at times made decisions on what works for us and what doesn?t, we just need these companies to continue making the products so we can express our freedom of choice, just don?t let the ?hype? make your decisions for you. I saw many new fishing rods, but how do we decide who?s is better. I actually spoke in depth with two of the companies and admired most of the others. My choice if I had a $2,000.00 budget; a couple Rogues?, a few Kistler's a couple G-Loomis and a Diawa. I even saw a company that has a changeable rod called the FUSION. You can replace the rod from the handle. Although I had my concerns on ?feel? and they were by far the lightest rods I ever held. It all boils down to the budget. I don?t have 2000.00 to spend on rods and my questions to them were, which one of you are going to lower your prices first to start the price wars? Answer; we feel we are already too low. Doh! Are your products made in America? Ah the sounds of crickets. Baits, shall we talk baits? Hello, my name is Tim and I love your bait. Ah yes, we discontinued that and here is our newer model. But it worked well I tell them. Ah, but this will work better. Can I still get the old one? You wont need it. Note to self, hit all the stores for close outs. Weather it is color schemes or a dimple here or a hump there, why would you discontinue something that works? Money, if you are told you have to have this new bait from company A, than you will buy it. So I asked myself, Will I? 88% of the time. Two notables I would like to push as ?eye-catchers? is Zip Baits and a soft plastic jig thingy made by Barefoot Lures. I am sending some samples to Jerry but he would not give up the jig head, which ?is the key to the lure?. They ran a video that showed how this made for a pretty descent top water soft plastic. All in all I had a good time roaming the halls of ICAST, how can you not after all, it is my definition of a kid in a candy store. I would like to end with my best of show. Best Rod ? Rogue, Best Reel - Okuma freshwater V series, Bait - Chatter bait Jig My best of show ? Bag-em Products They are fish and fisherman friendly.

It has ended and I still dont think I actually got to see everything there. I sent Jerry a ton of stuff to review and hopefully he will share some of the new products comming out. I think the one thing I asked myself over and over is; Can more than one person on this earth have the exact same idea? To give you an example of why I ask that question, 6 companies (+ or -) have that new topwater softplastic swimming frog. 2 companies claim to have the "first" crawdad jig that stands up. Weather it was swimbaits, jigs, spinnerbaits or worms, I honestly think it is possible for the same two people on this earth to have the same ideas at the same time but they may be on this site at the same time looking at your idea . I kid, I will type up what I thought would interest all of you with a little more detail and send it to Jerry to post. There were some unique ideas but the hula girls wearing the coconuts seemed to be the only picture I took. Thanks for the hook up Jerry,

I have to respond here as I own a dying shad. A few years ago I got some from swede off another site and still have the little one. Do they catch fish? YES! The one I have is very light but the wobble is unreal and not on the retrieve, on the float up. Mine still is holding strong through all the bass abuse the only problem is the middle wire no longer supports a swivel.
-
In reality Chris, I honestly beleive when a bass pro refuses to give recognition it is pretty much the nicest plug in the world. You just need the guy with the camera or the partner he is paired with to have a big mouth Besides, we all know that your baits catch fish shhhhhhhhhhh.
-
Vy, Are you goimng to be a registered vendoe and set up shop???? Let me know your dates here in Vegas and perhaps I can hook you up with some fishing.
-
No, I have the OK lol. The last couple times we did the Baseball Hall of Fame and a lunch cruise on Lake George and re acted the battlefield of saratoga. All fun but everywhere we went there was water and most was saliva running down my cheek but I was good.
