  1. Going to my very first Thanks Giving dinner with the expat US community in Geneva! Happy thanks giving all!

  2. Ok please ignore the above question either my eyes were playing tricks on me or it was added since my post but its there now! Cheers S
  3. Great to see the photo gallery back up but what happened to the soft plastic section!!!??? Did it disapear into cyber space or are my eyes just decieving me!? Thx for the hard work revamping the site! Simon
  4. If the scales are very pronounced/deep, then before the paint on the bait has dried completely, wipe very carefully and softly (will not work if you press down!) With pure alcohol on a small piece of sponge or foam and, in theory, you should get the desired effect! Simon

    Mouse Bait

Very cool! First soft bait mouse i have seen if I am not mistaken! What did you make the master and mold from they look to be very "clean" pours! How are you going to rig it?.... so it floats (floating jig head) and fix a triple hook under the belly on a wire harness? That would make a killer pike bait! Cheers, Simon

    Fall Wally Crank

diemai, I think BBduc means the bait is designed to imitate a walleye (zander) in order ot catch Muski/Pike, because on his recent fishing trips the walleye he caught somtimes got attacked by big autumn pike! But I agree thats even a bit big for our European pike (excluding Sweden!) Great looking bait though, a good example of "match the hatch":teef: Cheers, Simon
  8. Salutations de la Suisse! Phil, there is a Swedish guy who paints his soft baits, Magnus I think his name is, just look in the gallery he recently made some really cool BIG soft baits for pike, which are painted with a scale pattern. I asked him if he got the paint in Europe as I had also been looking for it here (but gave up a while ago!), he said he could not find it in Europe either, however, had successfully ordered it from the US. Maybe its time to plan a bass fishing holiday in the USA and pick up paint and suplies whilst your there!! If you need furtehr explinations "en francais", send me an email: lemanlures@hotmail.com Cheers, Simon
  9. Very impresive that's one sweet looking swimbait!!! Did you dip it in whit/pearl plastic then paint the gold colour and black scaled back? Simon
  10. Ahh ok Thanks Mangeboy! I thought so,I did look in europe but found nothing suitable, i think I will just stick to adding colour and glitters! Are you in North or south of Sweden? My Girlfriend is from Ostersund (sp) I have been there a couple of times to visit her familly, but have yet to go in summer and take the rods! It looks like an amazing place to fish. Cheers, Simon
  11. Amazing, especially the siver bream looks really realistic.... Did you find the paint for the soft plastic in europe? Cheers, Simon

    Zander (walleye)

My PB zander, caugt at susezt on my home pured and desigened Rawl Worm 15cm in motor oil/ chartreuse w/black Flake
  17. Pul, I have never made/used resin molds..but make/use POP molds, i always brush a little veggie oil (not veggiemite!) into the cavities before every 2/3 pours i find this helps get shinier baits. With the baits your resin molds make, do they not get shiny when you put them in a bag with a few drops of worm oil? Nice two peice grub mold your tails come out really well! Simon

    My 8" series.

They look cool, something a bit different, are they intended to imitate a baby Jack Cravally or GT type fish? If so great job!! Welome to TU by the way, not many, if any, other members from SA, I grew up in SA and have very fond memories of beach fishing along the coast at night for Cod and also catching tiger fish in the okavango delta on spinners and light tackle, what a blast when your 10 yers old!!!... a far cry from the european perch and pike fishing here!! . Would love to come back one day and chuck some home made lures to toothy SA predators.. and most of all I miss biltong!!!!!!!!! Cheers, Simon

    New HB color

Amazing work Jeep (as always!) Although, with this one I am a bit concerened that the fish will jump out of the water with fear when they see it coming, instead of attacking it:lolhuh: Simon
  24. Great looking baits. funny my first hard bait was ao a top water frog! Didi you hand carve the bodies from wood? Simon
  25. I bet those little beuties would get smashed by the european perch, must have a go at something so small. Great work! Simon
