I dont glue my lips in at all.. I just duck or duct tape them in.. depending on which part of the country your from!

The lip makes that swimbait have tight action... lipless baits will give you a bigger S or wider swim.......... that is my guess... because that is what my baits do when I add a lip to my lipless design... If saving money is what your looking for you will spend way more than 100 bucks per bait molding your own than just buying swimbaits! I have about 3 to 4 thousand invested in molding material so far! And at best even after you mold the bait you will still have about 6 to 8 hours of work putting it together and painting it! Welcome to the FUN!!! The Rookie

If you look in Hobby Lobby testor's has a some actually decal paper that you print the decal on.. then you take the testor sealer spary can and spary the decal after you print it.. THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT!! make sure you seal up the decal after you print it off your printer..after it drys out... you cut it out... and And dip it in water just like the old model cars! All the dipsticks doing this crap for CHEAP PRICES WERE GETTING UNDER MY SKIN but I havent been doing this long enough to complain out loud yet!!!!! But, since you brought it up!!!! WOOHOO!!!! Did you know if you charge 10 bucks per lure... to make 10,000 dollars of pure profit.. you need to paint close to 1,500 baits. I figured at best you have around 1 to 1 1/2 hours of labor.. maybe more.. SO DONT BEAT ME UP ABOUT MY FACTS!!! THEY ARE JUST WELL FUN FACTS!!! I really dont have data to back them up only tired eyes.. paint all over my hands.. and my little girl looks older than I last remember !! TIME SURE GOES BY FASTER when you work freakin 15 to 17 hours a day so people dont complain about WHERES MY FREAKIN BAIT!!!... I TELL YOU WHERE YOUR BAIT IS!!! ITS IN A BOX COLLECTING DUST!!! with all the other 400 baits I got to paint!!!!! AND IF YOU ASK ME ONE MORE TIME!!! Dean got me onto bondo glazing putty a few months back. Epoxy wood bait first to seal it up! Sand it down and look for the small holes you always get after you seal your wood with epoxy and sand... then fill them with bondo glazing putty. smooth it out and your ready to paint!

I will paint them for 50 bucks per lure! Let me know if your interested. Wait.. my stocks just dropped :boo:some more today!!! Make that 65 per lure!

1. Scuff with 400 grit sand paper 2. wash with Soap and water 3. Shoot with Bulldog Adheasive promoter 4. Auto Air Base White or black sealer 5. Paint the bait 6. Clear coat it Your good to go! I have painted over 2,000 baits or so.. heck I lost count long time ago.. But I think I had 2 or 3 paint failures out of 2,000 plus baits. And the 2 or 3 came from the first 50 baits I painted... Since I started using bulldog I havent had anyone call me or complain. Good Luck The Rookie

Rod... what's the drying time on it.. Is it slower or fast than devcon. And can you ship a bait you clear coat with it same day. .or is this a 2 or 3 day process.. The Rookie
