  1. thanks guys, that is kind of what i thought.. i was hoping to find someone who already sells them.. i will try the colorado blade idea.. that or take a pair of tin snips to the blades i have....
  2. thanks for the replies.. i have done the colorado blade deal before.. and it works ok... cadman, is there a minimum for you to cut? and what kind of price range am i looking at? i am not looking for alot of them maybe 10 or 20..
  3. I have been using the shaker bladed to make a chatterbait style bait (for personal use i dont want to sell them and get into a lawsuit).. i have found the blades on barlows, janns etc.. with and without the "bubbler" holes.. does anyone know of somewhere that sells smaller ones? i want to make some 1/4 down to 1/8oz baits.. and these blades are just a little much... thanks in advance..
  4. thanks for all the advice..
  5. Quick question, I have one of the LEE production pots, and i have a big problem with it dripping between pours, i have 3 or 4 different plungers that i clean and change out, i twist the plunger, i make sure the handle comes completely down, i flux the lead, i use good lead, but after a few pours it will start dripping.. is there anything i can do?? please help, i am tired of the little burns ....

    Uv Coating

I picked up a jar of the UV clear powder coat.. and have tried it for a couple of months now... my inpressions so far: 1. i dont know if it made any difference to the fish.. still on the fence there. 2. I sent a few out to some prostaffers and have yet to hear back from them.. 3. When they say "clear" that is decieving, when i applied it as a clear top coat it did alter the color.. for example: the uv over a green pumpkin head gives it a kind of purple sheen.. not clear. i have only tried over black and GP but so far both get the light purple sheen.. 4. It does light up under a black light.. you can see the difference.. again i cant see yet that the fish care they still bit, i havent noticed any more bites, but i havent noticed any less either.. 5. I did try mixing some of the uv coat in with the GP powder.. this kept the original color of the GP, but under a black lite it is like it has freckles.. i like this one... 6. as to the durability.. no difference.. it doesnt seem to add or take away.. so, there you go..
  7. thanks, i did a search and found them, i thought the rcbs was shorthand for something everyone else knew...
  8. ok, this question will prove my ignorance, but here goes... I use a LEE pot like shown here... what does RCBS stand for? i am looking to upgrade also...
  9. 1. I would say the one on the left is the nexew one, aside from the obvious height difference i would say the Holes one the older one. they probably had holes on the older one because the housing was made of sheetmetal instead of aluminum (like the new one) and had to be vented, on the new model it is how made of aluminum and does not heat up as much..... ok i guess this is 1 & 2..

  12. I am looking for some custom color tubes, Anyone out there willing to pour me up a batch?? Shoot me an email edgrish@yahoo.com
  13. I had some similar problems when i was using the copper ones... what caused it most of the time was me... when i was pouring the heads, i would sometimes get a little blow out right at the base of the spring.. apparently while trimming the excess lead i was nipping the spring shaft a little.. causing a weak spot.. you can figure the rest.. to fix, i just started being VERY careful when trimming around the spring..
  14. what type of rod/line set are you using on the 3 rigs you have?? the reason i ask, a guy that buys alot of jigs from me sort of complained of the same thing.. then i found out he was trying to use 6lb florocarbon with a med-heavy casting rod... i asked him to tie the line to a fence post or something and see if he could break it in the yard (jig or no jig)... well, he found out he needed a little heavier line.. or a lighter rod..
  15. I have been trying to find some large jig hooks, i found an 8/0 mustad at Barlows, but would any of you know wher i can find 7/0 up to 11/0 wide gap 28 to 60 degree jig hooks? i have looked all over the place but all i can seem to find is the mustad from barlows... any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
