  1. The irony to the post date is.. MUSTAD is having problems again with the 38108!!
  2. THANKS GUYS! I actually bought this one that QuickDraw stated above and it works wonders.. I have some acetone so I will be doing some of that as well.. It sucks sprayIng in a garage that is 80° after 11 O'clock! I alpreciate the help though!
  3. What does everyone use for a cleaner? I have been looking for a spiral tube brush with brushes like a wire brush to clean my airgun with, my nozzle and the throat.. Pipe cleaners leave fibers behind. I have ordered a couple just to get them to be either too big to fit through my throat or not steelbrushes and the fibers fall off.. Any sight recommendations? I have an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS
  4. Ok so I may get beat up on this.. But.. If you watch the Elite series on Douglas video.. I've got it DVRd and have watched it numerous times.. It's obviously a secret to Jeremy Starks.. And the rest of the world.. But all he says is flouro.. And he won't say what lb test as already stated.. Well to me.. It's obvious tothe world that deep running CBs are usually thrown on 10-12 lb test.. I trow 8-10.. But.. I don't know why he would b so secret if he went smaller because people are bound to try it.. So did he go bigger? On a conventional cast, I would say no.. But while he was strolling aka long lineing.. I am gonna say maybe he went bigger and here is why.. The heavier the fluorocarbon. The faster it sinks.. Test it in sink if u doubt it.. And it sinks actually pretty fast.. SO by the time he has tolled for 2-300 yds.. It would almost be on bottom.. So I think it it would strt out going deeper.. And the heavier lb test line has less buoyancy than smaller lb test.. Thus doesn't come to top faster.. ( not that either has much at all) and now the line is underwater.. It I'd under more PSI and has less resistance as to coming up so keeps CB down longer.. Just a thought.. I am going to test theory this weekend. I drill weights In a ton of by CBs.. Put BBs in jerks and so on.. And I can get a dd22 to 20-22 with no lead added by strolling... And to 27-28 with lead in beal.. And 30+'s I have no clue.. Its 40 everybit I know.. It seems to be the trick of not starting the reel too fast or you will pull the beal up towards you.. Just let it do it'd thing untill u feel the bottom.. I may be completely wrong on the bigger line while strolling.. But I shall test it.. If you wath and pause the video.. Starks' line looks like nylon rope..
  5. alrighty guys, a few weeks ago I had ask for some help finding a scale and some tips on my brush. After many good tips.. And me buying a ton of stuff to cut apart.. Ordering different meshes.. I finally walked right past the best scale I have ever bought and wanted to share it with you guys... Pull over full face mesquite netting.. Made by Coleman and sold @ walmart for a couple bucks.. And one does around 15 crankbaits or so of big plugs.. Of course one plug per cut piece.. I am still an amateur by far.. But as soon as I get on here with my computer I shall upload a picture.. Silly iPhone don't cut the mustard on posting pics!
  6. It does 100% gunnie! And thanks everyone for there advise. I have been painting off and on for a couple years now and got pretty decent with vinyl paint.. But got tired of spending countless money on thinner and if I let the thinned paint set for 4-5 days it was hard as a rock.. And same with the psint.. Very short shelf life.. and ha to wear a big respirator or I would die in 2 years I'm sure.. But it was so nice that as soon as it was sprayed it was dry in 1 minute w no heat.. So I changed to createx water based.. And love it.. Washes off well.. Mixe ls great! And can thin with windex.. But seems to want to run ad travel more so I had to learn how to spray-heat-spray-heat and so on.. But my scales are wearing me out.. My bigges problem is I can't find the perfect scale size I want. The ones from barrows.. Big is too big and the small is too small.. But tonight I went to Wally world and bought two hats ( w mesh back) and two diff pair of swimming trucks to cut up.. So we will see.. And I will b sure to pull really tight.. Maybe I'm lookin to much to try Anne get the same scale pattern as the Norman dd22s and so on.. I only paint big plugs.. Cause the bargain bins are full of crappy colors. I just bought some stencil blanks.. And gonna try the shopvac- heat gun trick to make the perfect exact grab on stencil.. Wish me luck and I hope to post back with better results! THANKS AGAIN!
  7. I will deff order a .3 and have to give it a try for sure! I appreciate it and will have to repost my new luck when I try!
  8. Ok so I am fairly new to painting crankbaits. I do fine with everything but the netting. I have both coarse and fine from barlows. The big coarse is way to big for my desire. The fine seems to give me to biggest problem. My problem is that it comes out much to distorted. I am using Createx paint. The area (fine lines) between the scales always seem to get filled in. I have it stretched and help great with alligator clips. Am i spraying to much @ one time? any information would be helpful. I have an Iwatta eclipse. the 199$? model. What PSI should I have my tank set at for a .5 needle? Any info would be great! Thanks
  9. thanks ben, i actually have some createx that i bought from hobby lobby, but havent tried it, it said to thin with a certain base.. i will be sure to get on the website and check it out! thanks, Cupp
  10. Hey guys, I have been bass fishing for year and about 6 months ago, after a day of sickening, box piled full of over i would say 50+ DD crankbaits was left on back deck blew out. i decided i would start painting my own( all of my chipped ones in garage) any ways, i bought an iwata hp-cs. i havent had a whole lot of luck finding paint. i have bought most of my paint from barlows and its all VINYL. i spend a fortune in there thinner. and am still wasting a bunch of money getting my mixes right for new colors. i was wondering what kinds of paint you guys use and if you could give me a link as to where you buy it. is there anywhere you can buy it pre-thinned to just pour and spray. hoping i can find a site with a variety of colors. also what size needle do you guys use mostly?.35mm .5mm or ?? thanks guys.. any info sure would be appreciated.. hopefully i can get some pics up soon of some of the crank's and jerks ive painted as well as some jigs and EWG shakey heads and spinnerbaits.
