i make small crappie baits so the molds i am using makes 12 at a time. the waste comes in when you have bad cast. i was using the bass tackle twinjector (don't get me wrong its a great piece of equipment and i plan to keep mine for small batches) and i was not that good with it and if everything was not exactly right i would have a lot of baits swirl or be one color. i know it was a operator error because once i got everything set it would cast great. well this unit is much more forgiving and i feel i can get it set quicker sooo fewer bad cast = less waste as far as faster i cant give you a B.P.M. (baits per minute) but this is what i do know, before after work i would be lucky to shoot 20 to 30 packs before it would get so late i would have to close up shop (like i said im not very good with the bass tackle twinjector) now in the same amount of time (4 hours, this time also includes set up and getting the plastic hot) i can shoot 40 to 50 packs of jigs and if i had 2 more molds it would be even higher, lack of molds is slowing me down now .... lol i done 40 packs of jigs a 50 swimbaits in the same time and was not trying that hard since i didn't have to clean the injector after each shot like before i had a lot of idal time so i fired up another pot and shot swim baits while i was waiting for the jig mold to cool a little i dont want people thinking i am bashing the bass tackle injectors ..... im NOT they are great, im glad i bought it and if you are making baits for you and your friends only and want to shoot laminates i would buy it ASAP but i needed to put out a lot of baits fast so this is to path i took

it works great easy to use makes great baits with alot less waste ..... i feel it was money well spent thanks Bear

i finaly got better at using the bass tackle twinjector i bought thanks to the advice from the great people on this board ...... Thanks everyone but i still felt i couldnt put out as many baits as i wanted to soooo ....... I made the leap i ordered the shooting star injection system from bears and it comes in today im very excited and cant wait to get home and try it out

Thanks everyone for your replies and comments im sure it will make all the diffrence, i didnt get a chance to try the laminates again last night i had some solid colors i had to shoot i believe im going to try the twinjector again tonight and keep the temp low and see how it comes out yall are a bunch of great people who take time out of your busy day to help others and i cant tell yall how much i appreciate it i just hope one day i can return the favor Thanks all Herman Bryant Liars Corner

i am just getting started in the plastic making side of this buisness and have hit a wall. i bought the twin injector from bass tackle and tried to shoot some laminates and more times than not i wound up with bad cast so i have came to the conclusion that i am just incapable of using that darn thing sooo....... i have started doing one side at a time and the baits come out looking great HERE IS THE PROBLEM first of all im useing the 2" Baby Minnow Mold i shot a bunch of the top color and set them aside (i dont let them set long i do both sides in the same session) and then i put them back in the mold and shoot the other side my first attempt didnt work the two colors would peel apart so i came on here and done a search and took all the sugestion (350+ plastic temp) that had been posted and went back and tried again ....... well no luck i even used my heat gun to heat the tops i put back in the mold befor i shot the other side still same D@#$ thing ......... WTF its becoming very frustrating i cant figure it out how to make the two colors stick together PLEASE help me ...... i need to know what kind of magical spell i got to chant as i shoot these thing to make them stick together ...... its got to be magic

i am just getting into making plastic baits and am strugling with matching colors i am more interested in crappie bait and i am trying to make the Bobby Garland BabyBass colors my first colors are "Monkey Milk" and "Albino Shad" can anyone help
