  1. Thanks for all the help and advice. I vented the hell out of the tail and opened up the gates a bit more.It shoots great now Now I have to wait for spring to fish them. Thanks again Noel
  2. Ok .will do. The existing vent at the tail is only 1/16 wide and .0015 deep.
  3. That looks good. I will cut them tomorrow. Thanks Noel
  4. I'm clamping with c clamps. I was looking at the rage tail Anacondas and they have that secondary runner. I'll vent the tail more at the tip and see how it works.
  5. I'm having trouble filling the last inch of the tail on my latest mold . It is vented at the tip but minimally. I was thinking of adding a small runner from the bidy to the tail as drawn in black .or would more venting be th answer. What do you guys think ? Noel
  6. I don't see a link. Noel
  7. Thanks Jeff. Do you find the body is more prone to dents if you get too hot ? Noel
  8. Good day all. I recently made a mould to shoot some curly tails for one of my creature baits. Given that the tails will be cool when inserted into the main mould. Is there anything i should be doing to promote a proper join between the two parts. Thanks in advance Noel.
  9. Thanks guys . That gives me a good starting point. We received a bottle of Hawg sauce yesterday. Boy does it stink . Noel
  10. First question I have been using the alumisol plastic and have had good results. This order I added a bottle of heat stabilizer. i usually cook 2 cups at a time. How much stabilizer would you guys use for a batch that size ? Second question I want to add some Upper Hand Hog suace to the cook. What proportions work best? thanks in advance.
  11. What is every ones opinion on these two methods of making laminates. I have made and used a few laminating plates with decent success. Is it worth making a blending block to try, or should I stick with the plate method. Thanks in advance Noel
  12. Ok then . Good to know. Thanks Noel
  13. I posted a pic the other day of a few laminates i shot on the weekend. Now the post is gone . Did I break some rule ? Noel
  14. Ya what he said .LOL. I was thinking of polishing the face of the laminate plate so the half worms stay in place better when I separate the plates after the first shot. Noel
  15. Awesome. Thanks for the good advice. I tried the mould release thing and i could basically peel the two halves apart . i noticed on first shot if the half worms tend to pull out a bit i just played with the to get them back in place . Thanks Again Noel
