The Dude
Do any of you use mix your colors with water to formulate your color recipies instead of using up your plastic making colors you don't like? Just curious if the color created in the water would translate the same to the plastic.
Zbass
Never tried that. I originally thought you were talking about mixing your color with warter and then adding to your plastic. I freaked there for a second.
bear21211
I have never tried it with the water but I have used the worm oil or softener from calhoun and add my colors to that. I do not think it is perfect but it will get you very close. Edited December 9, 2008 by bear21211
bhorlings
I have not done that either. It would be interesting to do. Not sure if it would truly translate the color properly on a bait that has salt in it also.
Bountiful Waters
I do not think this would work. Better to work with a small amount of plastic first.
nova
All of my recipies are based on 4 oz. of plastic. This is the smallest amount of plastic you can use without having to use 1/2 a drop of color. This is what works for me. www.novalures.com
