First attempt at plugs

This is my first attempt at making plugs. They are 6" long and weigh about an ounce. They are made from some cheap 1x2 pine and thru-wired with 1/16" brass using the same technique LaPala showed in the tutorials. The lips are made from old PC board material I had at work. They swim pretty much like the bombers I patterned them after except a little more lively? Thank you all for some great information and inspiration in this new hobby of mine.

Some guys I know from Jersey are after Bomber types that are considerably heavier than the originals. I hear there is a Big Demand for them. How does the pine hold up to soaking?

Nice job. Looks good to me. One of my fist lures was one similar to those with a green circuit board bill, but my paint job wasn't as nice as yours. I still have the lure.

Your first attempt is a good one. Brought back
memories of my first attempt.

Those look great. If that is a first attempt, then you got natural talent. Thru wired stick baits are hard to get right. Great Job!

Real nice job, good shape to those. Wish I could say the first plugs I ever made looked half that good.
