  1. I have 2 half gal pots for sale. Email is ggaudlitz@comcast.net
  2. We've have a fishing show in Richmond Va this weekend, but where and when is this show in Fl.
  3. Well from what I know a injection mold could run around 5 to 6k and then have someone else shoot the plastic. The first production run could cost (depending on the number of colors) around 4 to 5k. This is one style of bait in one size, so you got to make it a good one, but if you have a good outlet then you can sell a lot of baits. From what I've read this is what Gary Y did.
  4. The best baits I have ever seen are handpours, that's what inspired me. I thought I could make better baits and it would make me more apart of fishing, I was right on both accounts. When I design a bait I think first on a handpour level, then a injection level. I'm not good enough to mass produce my baits (which kick butt) to make a business out of it. If I only pour baits for me and friends, well that's ok, but I still hope for a injected level. Making baits is all I think about.
  5. Yamamoto injects their plastic, I think with that, the color penitrates the salt and any air bubbles which I have trouble with are eliminated. Injection is the real deal, but start up cost are expensive.
  6. I use a exhaust fan mounted in my garage window with a box built around it, a 6 inch dia hose from that to a metal vent that I put together. The vent can be moved from a electic burneror to a microwave I use. The fan pulls 600cfm, I have to be careful using fine glitter, it will suck it away, but I never wear a mask which helps a lot in the summer.
  7. The silicone from LC is pretty good, I've gone through about 13 lbs of the stuff. I found out early that to much activator was better than to little, plus it hardens the mold quicker, if you don't have the measurements perfect it still works. One other thing when working with the silicone wear some type of latex gloves, I do now but didn't when I first started, nobody told me that I should. I still have dryness and cracking on my finger tips.
  8. I'm sold, both are great and the bass is the best I've ever seen. Sure would like to buy a couple, let me know.
  9. You ought to give Greg Garst, of Garst Lure Design a call. I know he has made a hand injector with a stainless steel barrel, it may take awhile, but I hear he does good work. You can run a search on Garst Lure Design to get the number he's a real good to deal with. gordon
  10. I'm sure if this is what you're looking for, but a supply called MSC sells all type of industial equipment, and they sell geared down electric 120V motors I think they have one that rotates around 20 times a minute. You still have too make a shaft and propeller. gordon
  11. Mike, you should check out a company called Sta-Warm electric, they make different sizes from 2qt's and up. Most of the pots also have a bottom pour feature similar to the Lee pots. I have a 2qt which I would like to sell if interested let me know. Gordon
  12. The violet hi-lite mixed with white makes a great lower half for a trout bait.
