    Jig Company

I am selling my company I started from scratch in 2008, I have put in countless hours getting the company to where it is now, we have a very strong reputation for building high quality jigs and our pricing is inline with other custom jig makers. The sale of the company can just include the name, the logo's, the website, and the right to make the product, or it can include everything from molds (still all hand pour molds) all equipment, and training to make the product, plus the name, logos, and website. Really what this company needs is someone to move it to a production based model, because right now it is just scratching the surface of potential. We have a great base of customers who are very loyal and if you turn out a quality product the customers will follow the new owner. We also have one major retailer that we work with, there is so much potential for growth when you look at the retail side of things. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to get it to reach its full potential, I have a retail tackle and bait shop that I operate also and I can no longer split time between the 2 business'. I feel the business is worth much more than what I am selling it for, if you figure out an hourly rate of what I have into it I am getting paid under a $2 hour on the sale, but I need to do something and shutting it down just doesn't seem right after all the hard work that went into getting it to a point of profitability. My email is cdemars316@yahoo.com and I am getting together all the financial numbers from last year at this point. I want to keep this discreet in the beginning so please email for more info.

  5. Check your cure temps, the oven you use for curing might be off. Also if you are putting on the paint to thick it will chip out easier. I cure at almost 400 degrees and you can't chip the paint if you try
  6. NorthStar will make the wire any size you want, the baits are also clear coated and reay to go unlike most others
  7. Gammies flat eye fits in there, with slight mold modification the 32796 fits, its a flipping flat eye hook, much thicker than the 798.
  8. FG12 is the weedguard used in the originals, there smaller, thinner, and less intrusive, something thats real good for %90 of swim jig applications.
  9. This there new one made specifically for swim jigs, good mold, except I like the fg12 weedguards instead of the fg30 Do-it Molds: Weedless Casting Jig
  10. www.northstarbaits.com, has a drop down menu and you can select weedguards in or out
  11. I have a fluid bed from that guy in MI (dayooper? or something like that) that is 4 or 5" that takes spinnerbaits great, I always do the base color in the fluid bed, then use the paint brush method for the following colors, works out good.
  12. Of course thats ILLEGAL here in MN (the state where nothings legal:censored: )
  13. I noticed the same thing on finesse style worms, and trailers
  14. It was a joke....... but its our secret;)
  15. I don't know about Owners thin wire stuff but there bigger hooks are (imho) better than anything else out there, I guess the only downfall with Owners is the cutting point can't be resharpened once it rolls, but gamakatsu's lose there point extremely quick, and are overpriced. The Owner cutting point is lethally sharp though, Ive stuck myself twice with em and they do cut:eek: Ohhh and dont use there spinenrbait hook either it ain't worth it:whistle:
  16. The weedguard on the Eakins is a fiberguard? I dont quite no what you mean by single, it looks the same as the pic you posted
  17. I throw all my used up plastics on the floor in my boat between the fron and back decks then bag em up when I get home, and eventually remelt em into a "mixture" I call crap colors and when people want samples (friends families and those supposed tournament professionals that approach ya every 3 hours) thats what I give out. I was just sorting through them on the dining room table today trying to figure out which was poured with salt and softner etc. to pour some "crap" sticks, I probably got over a gallon of plastic there with all the remelts and "experiments"
  18. I have the eakins mold thats similar to that except it takes flateye hooks of 3/0, I cant help ya on the flat rubber though, can paint em and gt em ready for ya if you can find the flat rubber. pm me
  19. Shawn Collins Customs are the best hands down, they may be more expensive also but there well worth it.
  20. It is a scientific fact that bass can not smell oil based scents, they can taste it, but they cannot smell it. They can only smell water soluable scents, like gulp and exude. Putting oil based scents on your baits does leave a trail, and who knows maybe they taste the trail to your bait. I think the main reason for adding scents to your baits is to get rid of any human odor. Lets face it they have a brain the size of a pea most of the time you can lay down the most god awful looking hunk of plastic infront of em and there gonna put it in there mouth to test it out, your just trying to get em to hold onto it so you can drill the hook into there lip Ohh and my post was in no way touting Exude or Gulp, I think most of the time there scent repels the fish
  21. For me jigworming is also quantity, but you do get a sow thrown in everyonce in a while
  22. yeah its weird how that works, if ya have a mold thats real old, start producing it as the next hot bait:lol:
