  1. Thanks a ton, this is just what i was after in starting this thread. Once you cut the groove in the head adding paint could really seal the deal for finicky clear water bass.
  2. I don't know that it matters, but I really think this whole thread is a little jacked up. Once again, i'm fairly positive that you are only seeing half the story. Some of the responses here seem awful self-righteous to me.
  3. It's the same guy. They run pretty tight tournaments. Can't speak to knowing Mark Mendez, but there are some quality humans that are TDs here in Utah. If you want the skinny on U.S. Anglers Choice, i'd talk to one of the TD's. Basswest is a very legit magazine. PM me if you want information, but the Lake Powell Director is a good human and he'll tell you straight away what the "real" deal is. Here's a link to his trail and info. 4. I really think that's awesome that you smoked em on your own beaver. You guys questioning the weight take yourselves waaaay to seriously. He's not claiming a state record or even bf in a tournament, back off the guy.
  5. Reaction Innovations- same guy that made the original beaver. The owner is Andre Moore of FLW fame.
  6. There's something to be said about having a "pointie spout"!!
  7. Anyone know how to put together one of the "scrounger" heads? Just curious how that would be put together.
  8. Yeah, I've read hundreds of threads and figured out what not to use. Thanks for the response.
  9. I tried that, but the search feature disallows oil as a search word because there are so many instances. if someone can show me the thread i'd really appreciate it.
  10. I don't want to step into an area that would be taking money from somebody's business, but what exactly is the worm oil that I buy from Del and LC? Anyone willing to divulge??
  11. The activate works for trout ice fishing. I don't think you can add it to baits though. Megastrike has a very loyal following, I personally prefer YUM. I'm not real sure you can add Megastrike to plastics, i could be wrong, but I think it will burn.
  12. The old LA Sliders have great action and catch fish, i believe that they are now being made by Anthony's.
  13. Thanks, that's exactly what i'll do. I appreciate the input.
  14. seems a little time consuming, having to wait for all the decomposition and what not. Do they do the same thing for shad scents too? i mean just squishing the hell out of something and gathering up the juice seems simple enough. (I know if you push on my gut you'll probably get some scent!) But is that how "essence" of shad and crawdad are made? I've got to dig into this subject, there's got to be a way a guy like me can make his own crawdad scent.
  15. I'm sitting here reading all kinds of threads and articles about scents and it just dawned at me that no one has asked the right question. How do scent makers "make" crawdad scent? Do they throw a few in a blender and let em ferment a bit? Maybe squish the hell out of a few for their juices? Seriously how does this take place? I'd love some insight into this mystery of the universe.
  16. Much thanks, that's exactly the feedback i needed. I have a good buddy who's a vet, so I think i'll try to get a stainless steel syringe from him if I'm going to use an injector at all. Course, I have burned the hell out a myself:huh: with plastic and i've never used an injector!
  17. Hey has anyone tried the "injectors" from Janns net craft? Here's the link, 10 bucks, I was thinking about trying one but I can't tell if they'd be effective or not. Or if they'd only work with their molds. Anyone have one already? http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/soft-plastic-lure-molds/044020600000.aspx
  18. Tubeman, my apologies, I went back and read the thread and you had already suggested the Lurecraft paint. Do you really need the ventilation to be able to use their paint? Sounds like a silly question, but my workspace is limited to my garage.
  19. I came accross this beaut, looks like a legitamate 8lb+ smallie. Awfull impressive, especially for Utah. http://bassbuzz.outdoorsfanmedia.com/br_news_article.asp?thecat=5&id=94
  20. Anyone tried the new paints listed on Lurenet? Supposedly specifically designed for it.
