Refurbished paint and hard ware for a special order. This was the most productive peacock bass bait a customer of mine used in Brazil. It was very beat up so he paid me to re paint a similar paint scheme. It's nickname was the" Alley-Cat" -

The red/gold one I named "Rabid Chipmunk". Used some gold Diamond-Back Rattle snake eyes on him. -
Sold this to a guy heading to Brazil to catch Peacock Bass. I hope they are CANIBALS and he catches a nice one with my lure! -

Wow haven't been on since March. Went on two dream trips. First fly in float palne trip in Canada few hours from Lake of the Woods. Found my "Holy Grail Walleye Hole'" and then in September got engaged in FL and my fiance took me on a chater for Shark. Got a 200lb blacktip shark. Took me 1hr 20 min to get him in. Been doing lures too. Made a replica lure of a guys new IGFA certified world record Peacock Bass. Lots of exciting stuff going on!

Hi Rich, Hadn't been on here for a long time.Thanks for your comments & question.I make the lures from hand turned balsa or white pine. Then I hand carve to add detailed shape- sanding after. The fins are actually hard plastic fish mount fins that I cut to excact shape and sizes. My new company is"Trophy Replica Lures". I paint and cut fins from details on cutomers trophy fish.

Very cool. Like the lightning bolt look on the stripes. What do you use for your pretective clear coat? I use a fast drying jig head epoxy that somtimes cracks after a while. Making some "usable lures" for some family this Christmas and want them to last.
