overspray
How does everyone keep the powder paint from building up and closing off the eyes of the hook? I would like to not have any paint at all around the eye, but need a good idea on doing it. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help

BBK
Dont heat the side of the jig that the eye is on. You will still get an even coat.
Jig Man
I use needle nose vice grips and close them over the hook eye. I paint with a fluid bed and put on the smallest amount of paint I can get. That eliminates paint in the hook eyes.
Fatman
In between heating batchs of jig heads I clean the eyes on the ones I've dipped. After curing they're nice an clean and I don't worry about it. Fatman

bronzeback185
Best way I found to do it is to paint all your heads the take a paper clip and straighten it out clamp it on one end with your hemostats and heat it red hot then run it threw eye it will melt it all off and its quick and easy.
