Good morning,
I’m having trouble with pouring the no roll sinker mold.
First let me start by saying I’ve poured for 40 years and I’ve never been so frustrated with a few molds in all my life.
How in the world can it be possible that the warmer the mold gets , the worse it pours. I have good fluxed lead . The mold is smoked , got my basics covered. Is it possible to get a mold too hot or the lead too hot? I am using a ladle and 10lb pot . I tilt the mold slightly. I’m ready to sail it through the shop wall. Maybe my pot is getting weak and it’s not as hot as I think. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any input.
