The forum owners made me a Mod, and I'm cleaning everything up. I should have things back to normal pretty soon.

trouble with no roll means? not complete fills? does it look poured in layers like it is too cold? maybe a pic would help? sounds like lead it too cold. so a no roll has the wire to make the hole and the fill spot is close to the wire. have you poured these before with no problems? i'm just making guesses here

Good morning, I’m having trouble with pouring the no roll sinker mold. First let me start by saying I’ve poured for 40 years and I’ve never been so frustrated with a few molds in all my life. How in the world can it be possible that the warmer the mold gets , the worse it pours. I have good fluxed lead . The mold is smoked , got my basics covered. Is it possible to get a mold too hot or the lead too hot? I am using a ladle and 10lb pot . I tilt the mold slightly. I’m ready to sail it through the shop wall. Maybe my pot is getting weak and it’s not as hot as I think. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any input.
