  4. Mike, That is great news I'm going to have to pick some up.
  5. Tubeman, How did the pearl pour go? Did you get the bubble cure chemical from Calhoun? If so how much do you use? I used 3oz per gal, It seemed to work for the most part but I still get a few bubbles, nothing like the FROTH syndrome though. As far as the color changing in the production pot, I use the LC 5 gal Pressurized pot. When I have plastic in it a long time I get a greenish oily residue that comes out the top of the hood where the mixing rod goes through it. I found out the oily residue doesn't only come out the top but it drips from the top inside of the hood and back into the plastic which after awhile changes the color of your plastic. I haven't talked with LC or Calhoun about this yet. I really think the only way to not have the plastic change color is to get it out of the pot as fast as possible which means using lots of molds. PS: I need more molds Del LOL
  6. Tigger, Very nice looking bait!!! Do you sell them? If so PM me thanks
  7. Watermelon - purple fleck Green pumpkin - purple & green fleck Black- Blue fleck Smoke - black & purple fleck Pearl Watermelon - black & Red fleck Green Pumpkin -- Gold Fleck Cucumber Black Melon - black fleck and last but not least GRAND TRAVERSE MUD!!! This is "Grand Traverse Mud" Its the tops of all my pours remelted and extra gold felck added. The first time I used them was on Grand Traverse Bay in Michigan -- the smallies loved them.
  8. Predator Bass Baits, if you use Del's 5 1/4 stick mold -- the stick it produces is a tad bit bigger in Diameter than a senko therefore it needs to be a bit heavier than a senko to have the same fall rate. I found that Senkos are 10-10 1/2 grams. to match the fall rate using Del's molds you need to get your baits at 11 1/2 to 12 grams. Try using 1 cup plastic and just a bit over 1/4 cup of salt. I also use a heaping teaspoon of fleck per cup.
  9. Jim, I use this salt I get it from a feed store in my area its about 12$ for 50LBs. I dont blend it, That takes way to much time. It is about the same exact size as in Senkos. When pouring out of Pyrex I stir every 2nd bait to keep it suspended good. In the big pot it has a built in mixer with variable speed so you dont need to stop and mix. That alone saves alot of time when pouring. and yes I love that pot. salt link http://www.cargillsalt.com/food/dc_salt_food_topfloevap.htm so far I think Calhoun is the best for stick baits--I know they have/had bubble issues but they sent me a chemical to put in mine and it got rid of most of the bubbles. With 1/4 cup of salt mixed into 1 cup of plastic you really dont notice the bubbles anyway and it doesn't effect the fall that i can tell. the fish still eat them up!!! I do like LC super soft for other baits I need to buy some more of it. I have 50 Gal of Calhoun's now i need some LC super soft for other baits. I may be willing to part with a few 5 gal jugs of Calhoun's if anyone is interested PM me
  10. I use Calhoun plastic -- 1 cup plastic, 1/4 cup salt 1 1/2 oz softener, color and fleck to taste. I get about 22-24 sticks. they weigh 11-12 grams. thats for small orders in a micro using Del's 5 1/4 stick mold. for bigger orders for stores or just to stock up on colors I use the New LC 5 gal pressurized pouring pot. I can pour about 250 sticks an hour by my self, with someone helping me, handing me empty moulds I can pour 1 stick every 8-10 seconds so about 360 an hour, using 8 seven cav molds. thats not counting the heat up time for the plastic. When doing this I dont melt down the caps. I through them in a bin when i get a bunch I put them in my big pot add a few cups of new plastic some softener, heat stabilizer a few hundred drops of Green pumpkin color some gold and Chartreuse fleck and i come up with a color i call Grand Travers MUD. I sell those on e-bay for 4.99 "buy it now" for 25 Sticks. Its a good way to get rid of my tops
  11. I use 1 1/2 oz softner, 1 cup of plastic and 1/4 cups of salt to pour Stick baits when using Calhoun plastic. That gave me the same feel as a senko-- If your not using salt id say try 1/2 oz of softner per cup of plastic. hope that helps
  12. I have been using Upper Hand Scents for over a year now. Doug makes killer scents and like Ghost said it looks like the secret is out. I like to mix 2 of his Scents Upper Hand Hawg Sauce & Upper Hand Bass Sauce I I add it just before I'm going to pour. The BASS love it I use 1 tablespoon per cup of plastic. Give his product a try, you will love it but I guarantee you your wife wont LOL
  13. Queez, No disrespect taken, but I did want you to know that they aren't my Skirts they are precision Lures skirts, I just use them on baits that I pour and they seem to work just as good as GY skirts at a fraction of the cost.
  14. jmik26 , Here is the number to the Co. I get them from Precision Lure's Inc (870)528-4016. Im not sure if they have fire tiger. They like you to order by the Thousand -$75 per thousand its hard to beat 7.5 cents each.
  15. Nice baits -- The top one I call the (Hula Stick) I have been selling them for a year now, they work great!!! I also make another skirted bait I call (The EmGem) Its a good flipping bait and the Smallies love it on a 1/4 oz Jig Head. The pic above shows 2 of the limit of SMALLIES all of which were that big plus a bonus 17# salmon they came on The EmGem. check them out at EmGem link - http://www.happytimehandpours.com/TheEmGem.html Hula Stick link -http://www.happytimehandpours.com/HulaStick.html I cook in UPPER HAND scents in all my baits
  16. I use UPPER HAND scents in my baits, They are very strong.--give them a try you cant go wrong.I like to blend two of his products Upper Hand Bass Sauce I and Upper Hand Hawg Sauce --- use 1 tablespoon per cup of plastic just before you are going to pour. I use original PAM to lube the baits before I package them this helps to get them all nice and straight without sticking to each other. UPPER HAND linkhttp://www.gobassin.com/bassscents.html
