  1. Good advice! I don't mind using softener, but that hardener can be a pain sometimes. I think Del mentioned using a 50/50 mix of the hard plastic and medium plastic in another thread also.
  2. I think Poor Boy's Woman is Kim from LureCraft! I bet she recommends Lurecraft plastic.... I'd say since you don't really know what type of plastic you want, Just get a gallon of the medium plastic and a pint or 8 oz. of softener. Then you can find the right softness based on your trial and error.
  3. Even the original berkley scent doesn't burn down good. It's very very stinky!! It could gag a maggot.
  4. http://www.ozarktackle.com/pouringpot.html I know you said without ordering from the states, but Ozark Tackle sells them already setup to pour.
  5. The legs have to face inward to get the buzz action on the top water baits. I'm sure if the legs in that picture were facing the other way there wouldn't be quite as much action. Now if you make a one piece resin mold, you must remember that the bait would run upside down if you are wanting to use it top water. And that doesn't look much like a frog either!
  6. Congrats on the fish. That lake sure has a lot of moss!!
  7. I watched your video last week, it was very useful! Thanks for making it!
  8. Ah, the Zoom picture must be a bad one. I can't get the manns one to come up.
  9. Looks like maybe some pearl white poured on pearl black. Or try some Lumina Black from LC for the black color. Both work well.
  10. The bottom of this bait is Blue Crawfish, That's the best pic I have.
  11. That's just wrong! lol I'm not to sure how you would mold that bait and keep it full round. It would probably be hard to pull out of a mold if made like the LC Tube and Senko molds.
  12. A really nice looking multi pour with that color is: 1st Pour: Watermelon Brown with Copper hilites 2nd Pour: Blue Crawfish I love that color!
  13. I think Alsworms posted a reciped for it once that he uses.
  14. You might try red colorant, with some copper hilites.
  15. Make sure you sanitize them so you don't get VD though! lol
  16. Try practicing pouring a little bit slower. Some molds with really thin areas can be a pain to pour. You might also try trimming with small scissors, they work much much better than razor blades.
  17. Hopefully they just raise the price on the plastic, as opposed to glitter and colorants. Colorants are dirt cheap to begin with. I'm surprised that someone new hasn't chose to sell colorants. 5 gallons for $300 (from MF). 640 one ounce bottles in 5 gallons, sell it for $3 and ounce. That's $1920 per 5 gallons! It might be a messy task though!
  18. I think the extra $10 is worth it myself. I plan to pick up a couple pots this fall, for winter pouring. I pour on my back porch is very very cold conditions in the winter, I think the pot would be safer than the pyrex! Also do a search on the topic. There's lots of people that dislike the pots because it's hard to find the right temperature setting. If you have patience and don't mind burning plastic to figure it out, then go for it
  19. I've heard the larger pot pours salt and larger flakes better than the smaller one. I've never had one.
  20. 6% isn't to bad. It'd basically be like paying sales tax anyways!
  21. Looks like something pan fish will eat! Nice bait! Did you make the mold?
  22. MF's plastic is awesome. And you can't beat their 5 gallon jug with a faucet attached to it. regular 5 gallon buckets are a pain to work with.
  23. Also keep in mind you would probably have to pour the tails with the mold open unless you are injecting it. Which isn't worth the trouble if you are wanting to sell them.
  24. It's working for me. http://www.bobstackleshack.com
