    Dents

I believe I read a post from Del awhile back saying it might be caused by pouring too fast. Not giving the air enough time to escape the mold during the pour. I've slowed down a bit and noticed that the dents have pretty much went away. I also tilt my two piece molds slightly. Haven't tried Nova's suggestion, but that sounds like it would work perfectly as well... Adam
  3. Agreed Benny...Merry Christmas and HAppy New Year to all of TU. Let's hope 2009 brings us more success and a win for the Lions.
  4. I use both, and like both. I have the Paddle Tail, Frog, and Crawg from Bob. Those two make great molds w/out a doubt.

    Absorbed colors

Very nice One Sock. Innovative, creative, and completely unique. Very impressed. Good work.

    new stick color

Neat color. What do you call it? They'd bite it around my neck of the woods.

    sexy shad

Yes, I agree that's a very nice color. I like yours too Jim. I don't see that offered in Bob's list of molds though. Am I missing something?

    sexy shad

What mold is that? I see it alot but havne't ever asked.
  9. Where's the hook go? If it goes back near the paddle tail, the tail would get in the way, or get bit before the hook. If you rig it the other way the paddle gets in the way of the line. Kinda looks to me like it's just a funky craw with a tail fused to it. Interesting/very creative idea, I'd like to see it in an action video.

    Bait Photo

    Nice work! Great looking baits.

    Blue Shad

Interesting concept. I like it. It looks like a mold I have with 1/2 the tail cut off, making it a drop shot bait. Nice idea, and nice color too.
  12. Agreed. I got burned by those molds. There's something about 340 degree plastic under pressure near my hands that scares me. Spend the dough, and stay safe. It'll be worth it in the long run.
  13. MBroggi sells them. There's video threads out there showing it in action. Send him a PM.
  14. I get mine at 340 max temp...400 seems high to me. I can't imagine the salt or larger flakes suspending to well in the plastic at that temp. Let alone the flakes curling or bleeding. Interesting topic...
  15. I can't miss on the typical Green Pumpkin w/ Black flake stick bait. I also completely promote Bob's paddle tail worm. I can fish that worm a million ways and it is a consistent producer day and night.
  16. The LC colors seem very rich, which I like. The LC will get pretty dark around 30 drops in a cup (that's w/out salt). A nice variation I used was 8 drops LC Watermelon w/ 8 of Del's Light Watermelon. Not too shabby. My personal preference is mixed w/ Green Pumpkin & Watermelon from LC, but watermelon in general is pretty much a personal preference that you derive through your tests. I suspect most that you make will still catch those lunkers regardless...which is success in my book partner. Adam Home
  17. IMO, Watermelon is odd color. Some like it light, some like it dark. I go for the middle of the road. Not sure if I got the recipe here on TU or Del's site, but I use a mix of Green Pumpkin and Watermelon to get my watermelon color. I bet if you post a pic of the color you'd like to ultimately have, there's bound to be a genius or two on here that can get you close just by viewing the pic. I myself cannot do that, and rely on trial and many errors. But it sure is fun!!! Adam Home

    Crawg

Anyone out there pouring the crawg mold from Bob? I'm having trouble pouring it. Wings first or body first? Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks all. Adam H.
  19. I see a 100% improvement in the "new" pics versus the old. I'm sure they'll get even better. I would like to see a sample bait or two next to the mold pics, and I'm sure that's in the works. Great improvement, keep up the good work. mradamh
  20. At one time, I bought the injector thinking the same thing. Within a week I was ordering Molds from Del and Bob...Don't get burned (pun intended). There's something about 350 degree plastic under high pressure within an inch of my hands that makes me queezy, but maybe it's just me. Go with the POP or the aluminums w/out a doubt. mradamh

    first tubes

Nice looking bait. Where'd you get the tool to cut the skirts? Those look thicker than most, I like that look... mradamh
  22. There' not one person on this site that hasn't caught a fish and over estimated its weight. Or told a tale about the big mama that got away when you really pulled the hook outta his mouth trying to yank 'em in the boat. My grandpa always told me that all fisherman are liars...I've personally never caught a fish that big and I applaud that hawg whether it's 6-1/2 or 10. That's a beauty...I bet I would've said 10 too. Simply because I've never been close to 10...heck 7. Something that big would make me overrate it just due to not being close to that before. You've got a pass from me fella...that's a pig.
  23. I agree, my 5 yr old could take a better picture than that. They need to fix that, who would buy it sight unseen?
  24. Yessir Longhorn....it's a 1-piece. Thanks you for the feedback. Glad you like them. Adam H.
  25. Thanks for the well wishes fellas. You'll love the mold without a doubt. Adam H.
