    "repaint"

Do what you like to do! You're lures are fine. Now let's see how they catch fish. That's the proof of the pudding. I do life like finishes and and some folk aek. They both sell and many times my folk art frogs outsell the others. Since I fish only what I make I don't care what finish as long as it catchs fish. Good luck and keep plugging. ipock2
  4. Nice job. Just curious! What airbrush are you using? ipock2
  5. This is a good compressor, but is not as quiet as the Harbor Frieght. However I would prefer you buy the Lowes one as I work for them and we need the business.
  6. I have one like it, except mine is black. Works GREAT!
  7. I bought one off of ebay. Paid about $60 for it. Small unit but works GREAT. Make sure it has a moisture accumulator and can put out pressure from about 10 lbs. to 35 lbs. Anything other than that is over kill. It is also very quiet. I believe the guy I got it from is in VA. Hope this helps.
  8. Use epoxy filler that is available at Lowes in the plumbing dept. For balsa I use regular wood filler and seal it with the rest of the bait with sanding sealer. Hope this helps.
  9. I think the biggest problem is with the w/b poly. I tried usng it and had nothing but trouble. I went back to epoxy. ipock2

    Paasche Talon

I just bought on of the cheapo gravity feed guns withe the mac valve as mentioned on other posts. Tried it out today and it worked great. I paint mostly small crank baits and was amazed at how it sprayed pearlized paint at a low air pressure. I have used the paasche vl for a long time and it performed fairly well but I like the gravity feed alot better and it sure is easier to clean.
  13. I use the small clamps from Home Depot. They are very cheap and hold perfectly.
  14. Glad to help. Email me anytime and I'll help if possible.
  15. I first seal my wood baits with Deft Lacquer Sealer. When dry I dip in Rust-Oleum Flat White Enamel. I then paint with water-based paints and after 24 hrs. finish with clear epoxy. Hope this helps. ipock2 http://topfishingplace.com' rel="external nofollow">
  16. You sure can. I started with enamels and also hated the cleanup. I now paint with acrylics. The inexpensive ones I thin with windex and they work fine. I then seal with my clear epoxy. ipock2 http://topfishingplace.com' rel="external nofollow">

  19. If you're worried about the screw eye pulling out, use some epoxy glue on the screw or just get a little bit in the hole. I have never had an eye pull out doing this. ipock2 Best Fishing Supplies on the Net - Home

    Stencils??

I make my own stencils when I need one. I use blue painters tape that can be purchsed at Lowe's. I use an exacto knife with sharp blade. The blue painters tape is pretty durable and comes off very easy. Hope this helps. ipock2 http://topfishingplace.com' rel="external nofollow">
