  1. is there anyone using uv clear coat its something new for me but it seems to work well if you wait at least 4 hours to cure what is the reason for waiting so long?

    sinks nice in water but have not tried in a lake yet! but should work well!
  3. want to hear a good one how about a automatic ballast system just set the perfect depth and the lure could maintain a given depth suspended?
  4. I guess what I am really getting at can the correct weight balanced lure be so accurate to suspend at a given depth almost all the time?
  5. so if the lure drops at say 1 ft per second that would be a good measurement to go by if the lure weight is less it seems that it does not balance out the body so I have to get a standard weight to go by so each lure acts the same or close to it?
  6. is there some kind of time measurement of sinking rate say a foot per second compared to weight of lure I suppose?
  7. I recently weighted some diver lure I made and water tested them in a 5 gallon pail the sink down fairly fast slightly resting on the bottom how deep do you think they will act when thrown in a lake will they flutter down and rest on bottom say 20 feet will they stop?

  9. wood lure blanks from 3"to 7" floating and diving most with out hooks some do! at least 300 count at .20 per
  10. I got a 60watt uv flood lamp really speeds up curing time only 3 hours compared to 10 hours really happy about that!
  11. I recently am trying out uv cured resin for clear coating it is taking a long time to cure under a 10 watt uv lamp anyone know why it is taking so long I have heard it is suppose to take a matter of minutes but it is taking hours what am I doing wrong?

  13. I just started to use my 8-place drying wheel that I made with a small 12rpm motor I am using a 5-hour to 12 hour epoxy just waiting to dry hope it all works out!

  15. thanks for all the info my lures have been drying for 12 hours just a little tacky should be cured in 24 hours again thanks for all your inputs!
  16. this is for my old resin mix just to get it to work until I get my uv activated resin!

  18. i just purchased 2- 75 watt uv black lights and a bottle of uv resin should this work for clear coating lure blanks?
  19. i just coated some lure blanks with a 2-part epoxy brand new bottle! how do you speed up curing time I mixed it 1:1 ratio?
  20. I mixed up my last of old epoxy I had left and applied to sticky lures let dry for a few more hours and no more sticky coats thanks bobp!
  21. the lures are still sticky after 12 hours drying time maybe I will have to add more hardner next time
  22. I just purchased some 2-part epoxy and mixed it 1to1 ratio how long will it take to dry and cure to touch?
