  1. Use it just like you use a stencil, place the comb touching desired area that you want to paint and spray away. Goodluck, Jacob

    Heads

Now that is the coolest spinnerbait iv ever seen! i would hate to throw that at the fish cause all the spinnerbaits that i have are destroyed:cry: Jacob
  7. Its all right Dieter:) I found that out with the spoons, sometimes they wont swim without a hook on them. Then for my topwaters now i just do a float test and thats enough information to tell me if they will work. Thanks though:yes: Jacob
  8. Happened when i was swim testing a few topwaters:lol: Bare wood and I could barely get a cast in without a fish pecking at it, good thing i didnt have hooks!

    Lip Color

If your just trying to make a straight bend in the lexan you could easily bend it with the technique that Hazmail has done in the tutorials. Just done some last night using his method and they turned out great. Fish are fish tho, you can never tell what they want:mad:. some days I bet the clear lip would be better and the next day they could probally care less what color the lip is. I bet if its a bright color like chartreuse the fish would notice that though... good or bad? let the fish decide that one for ya:lolhuh: Goodluck, Jacob
  13. sounds very interesting, i would like to try a few out Thanks, Jacob
  14. that sounds like a great idea for the pvc decking lures. I use a forester bit for my lures. The way I get my eyes to be symmetrical is that I drill a hole directly through the lure where i want to eye to be. Now you just use that as a pilot hole and your good! Thanks for the tip though:worship: Jacob
  15. These small lures sure do work well for you! i bet the bluegill at my lake would destroy these:popcorn:

    "Scorpion" spoons

These look great Dieter! I agree with not painting them, the fish would prolly strip all the paint off them on the first outing8O Goodluck, Jacob
  17. I would take a bandsaw out of anything I have in my shop. You can cut anything with it..... just be careful to keep your fingers out the way. hahaha the blade sure is sharp:drool: Jacob

    Some Jointed Cranks

These look like some jointed shad raps, I like your version of them better though. I like the retro pain scheme you do, it looks amazing! Bummer on the failure of swimming with the blue headed lure. I remember reading on the forums about line tie placement and it looks like that the line tie is to far forward. Also i have yet the get a good action with a lure that has a lip that is near horizontal with the lure. It just seems that i always have to get the lip slanted down and the lure seems to like that much more. Anywho, great looking lures! hope the lake brings you some more results. Goodluck, Jacob

    Experiments

Those look pretty cool Dieter. I really like your orange one the most though. It looks like its gonna dive down pretty deep! I would be scared about a blow out with that one though since there is no lead in it. I bet to be sure of a good clean swim you could place some lead in the very front of the head. In front of the front hook hanger is where I would go. It will be very interesting to see what its gonna do in the water though:?. I think the blue headed lure was a lure that 12spot did a while back. Not for sure but it looks like one that he did. Well good luck with your lake testing! Jacob
  20. if it wasnt for this site i would still be totally clueless about how to make lures. There is so much here, lately ive been going through the search function about how lures swim. Lol its amazing! and the vortexes and all that other good stuff is mind boggling but im getting it I think. This site is the best lure making site that im part of. lots of great people on this forum that are willing to help out. Thanks guys!
