  1. Well apparently this is what you don't want! I bought it at sams.
  2. I buy calhouns plastic from bears, in the 5 gallon quantity. I get 2.5 gal hard and 2.5 gal soft. 80% of my baits are made with medium, so I mix half and half.
  3. I went to sams club and bought popcorn salt. I never used it because it's orange. I don't see how that would work.
  4. Let's say this again....."we regret that this pot is no longer available"
  5. Make sure you dry your lure between each coat of paint. Try putting the shower luffa in a pot of hot water. It will soften it up! Make sure you dry your lure between each coat of paint. Try putting the shower luffa in a pot of hot water. It will soften it up!
  6. The first time I ever made a plastic lure I had the same issue. Shake your container really good. Them when you think your ready to heat it up stop, and shake it up really good again! Keep shaking it up!
  7. I just grab the wire loop that attaches to the hook, with a pair of hemostats. Heat it and dip it in .
  8. I've used it on both, it works good. Doesn't add hardly any weight and does not clog small gill slots!
  9. I used 1/2 a cup on those
  10. The one on top is mine, the other is gy 196. I'm guessing I need to double my black glitter but it's close.
  11. I use 20 drops amber, 3 drops of red shad, 2 drops cinnamon per cup. I asked the same color question a few years ago. It should be in the search. I will see if I can find it.
  12. Is that an Arkie buzz bait? I love those but can not find them anywhere!
  13. Jeez..... Nice swimbait you got there.
  14. Coleman mosquito netting at Walmart.
  15. I tried it and did not like it. I had some lures that the solarez cracked , and it didn't look good on darker colors. The 5 min epoxy will turn yellow in the sun. I recommend gst, easy to apply and no storage issues . It takes a couple weeks to cure though.
  16. I had been using kosher salt that I had ground up in an old blender. It really changed the look of my sticks and gave them a cloudy ugly look. Tonight I tried the picking salt and did not grind it up . What a huge difference, the baits look much better. Thanks for the tips
  17. Thanks, I will try paper towels to help .
  18. I don't see how that could work! Your gonna need RTV silicone, in my opinion.
  19. Bob is this what you use?
  20. I am working in my garage in about 30 degree temps. I live in nebraska where it's cold and humid!
  21. I just bought a respirator from lowes . It was 30$ and really seems to help with the fumes. However I noticed that water builds up on the little valve that covers my mouth. Every few minutes water drips onto my chest, and I'm worried the water is going to drip into my presto pot with hot plastic. Any advise or tricks to eliminate the water build up ? Thanks Rob
