    Glitter ?

    bearsbaits.com, lurecraft, delmart or pouryourownworms.com
  2. 1. a way to heat your plastic....microwave, lee pot or presto pot 2.a good infrared thermometer 3. heavy gloves 4. only start with a few molds that you will use yourself 5. as for colors and glitters get what you would throw/or buy for yourself 6. decide whether you are going to pour your baits or inject them and that will let you know where to go to get your molds in #4 7. have fun!!!
  3. as long as it wasnt a protected bait design or its action or anything like that was not protected you could use plaster of paris and seal the cavities with elmers glue to make a cheap enough mold
  4. if the appendage you reapply to something else in itself is protected or its action or its attachment and lets not forget a companies intellectual property then you are infringing. and do not let anyone tell you that you can change a bait by so many percentile and you are safe this is a myth and if you dont believe it ask a copyright/patent lawyer. if its protected leave it alone even for personal use
  5. i have been using bears hand injectors since last spring and i have never had to warm mine up, i just turn the stirrers off on the pots and cycle thru the plastic a few times and presto its warmed up and they dont stay warm long they get hot when you go thru 5-10 gallons of plastic on a slow day!!
  6. injection over hand pour all the way!!! i have used both and bears wins hands down!! the basstackle block is awful big for the little job it needs to do others may find it suits them but for me and i make up to 1200 laminate baits a week bears beats it hands down!!

  8. flourescent transparent colorants are usually dyes and will likely bleed!!! chartreuse being the worst then maybe reds!!
  9. WELL IT IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE CLOSED MINDED PEOPLE YOU HAVE TO LISTEN AND FOLLOW A FEW INSTRUCTIONS WHICH WILL ELIMINATE MOST IF NOT ALL HUMAN ERRORS. THE PLASTIC IS GOOD , VERY GOOD AS A MATTER OF FACT! THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH IT NOT BEING AS BUOYANT AS WAS EXPECTED BUT THE MANUFACTURER HAS A REMEDY FOR IT. AT LEAST THE SUPPLIER AND THE MANUFACTURER HAVE REMEDIES FOR THIS UNFORESEEN OCCURENCE.
  10. I AGREE THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE CREATIVE PEOPLE BUILDING THEM AND I COULD BE WRONG AS LONG AS THE RIGHT REGULATORS ARE USED AND NOT SOME CHEAP STUFF SOMETHING ADJUSTABLE BETWEEN 0-7.5 PSI SHOULD BE ADEQUATE. I WOULDNT THINK YOU WOULD EVER NEED ANYTHING OVER 3 PSI.
  11. MAN THAT THING LOOKS KINDA SUSPICIOUS AT BEST. I WOULDNT WANT ANY INNOCENT BYSTANDERS AROUND WHEN THAT WAS BEING USED!!!
  12. I DINT THINK YOU COULD BUY OR SELL THAT MOLD OR ITS BAITS ANY LONGER ? IF I AM WRONG PLEASE ADVISE I HAVE 14 OF THEM 3.5 AND 4.0 I BELIEVE ID REALLY LIKE TO USE BUT R.I. SAID THEY WERE AN INFRINGEMENT...LET ME KNOW
  13. wife and i spent a few days recently at mr. bears and had the pleasure of playing with this new plastic and i can tell you its the real deal!! we left a container of it sitting for a week then went back and all we did was open it up and pour no mixing, very low odor and NO seperation of the materials. baits we shot had no bubbles and were not even sticky when demolded even early. do your customers and yourselves a favor and try this out you will all be impressed...jon/pw
  14. keep the salt out of the plastisol and most that is sold from the various lure sites is all floating plastic
  15. the injector from www.bearsbaits.com has a 5/8ths tip. if your molds are those plastic ones from janns i am not sure you want to use them. if you can at all swing it do yourself and your customers a huge service by incesting in the tools bear sells to us all. and besides the guy cooks a mean pastalaya and t-bone and his customer service is second to none!!

  20. as with any growing company there will be growth isues and the internet and its providers(hostd) sometimes are caught unaware of sudden growth to new customers. i have spoken to david this morning and they are alive and well just hogtied at the moment trying to resolve hosting problems. so with that said just be patient and the man with the best products and customer service in the bait making arena will be back up and running shortly...jon/pw
  21. HOW ABOUT USING SMELLY WATER RATS???
  22. my wife and i have been producing baits for the past year and we have gone from having a small customer base and very few molds all hand pour; to a few more customers and a decent sized tackle dist. to more hand pour molds (lots) to more customer and now 3 tackle distributors (OK,MO and CA) and now we are totally injection and we sold all of our hand pour molds and have half the amount of injection molds and are producing 4 times the amounts of baits. alot of these are really easy because we can run together 10 gallons of plastic in a little over 8 hours and switch colors every gallon. its just what do you want to make if its just for yourself...then all means do what you feel comfortable handling; but if it gets overwhelming quantity wise seriously look at the hand injection process and i think you will be amazed at the quantity you can make...jon/pw
